'Hey guys, and welcome to Sophie VS the Sidemen Swegway Olympics!' He told the camera. 'Today, we're all here with our new friend Sophie. Say hi Sophs!' Ethan motioned for her to come into shot, and she rolled in on his swegway, sunglasses donned. 'And what.' She said in her best gangster voice. Ethan giggled, making her break character, laughing along with him. Unfortunately, her sudden movements caused the board to shoot forward beneath her. Sophie felt herself falling backwards, a surprised scream breaking from her lips. Bracing for her impact with the floor, she tucked her arms around herself, squeezing her eyes shut.
However, a strong set of arms caught her before she hit the ground, and she opened her eyes to see Harry looking at the camera all boss-like. She stared at him in disbelief. 'How the..?' she stuttered. He looked down at her. 'I have no idea. The instant you started laughing I knew you'd fall off, so I thought I'd prepare myself to catch you instead of letting you hit the floor.' 'Thanks for the vote of confidence.' She said sarcastically, pushing his face away from hers and wiggling out of his grip. 'Only cause I've done exactly the same thing before, and I kid you not, it hurts like a bitch.' He laughed. 'I guess this makes up for my stomach then?' She teased.
'What's up with your stomach?' Vik's voice broke into their conversation. He was stood beside Harry, looking slightly dejected. 'Nothing really; just that when he jumped on Simon earlier, the idiot kneed me in the stomach and now I have this big-ass bruise.' She lifted her shirt to show him and the others who were now listening intently. They all gasped and she laughed off their concern, turning to the camera. 'Look what this bitch did to me! I wouldn't be surprised if I go get it checked out and find I've got like three broken ribs and liver failure.' She joked. She moved back to the group, letting her shirt fall back down. They'd all started having a go at Harry for abusing her, but stopped when she shushed them, saying it didn't hurt that much and that her skin was just extremely fragile. 'I once walked into my doorframe back at home cause I was tired and wasn't looking where I was going, and within like five minutes my skin literally turned black. It'll be gone in a few days.' She explained, trying to convince them. It must have worked because they nodded and said no more about it.
A moment later, she felt a hand take hers and she looked down to see Vik's fingers laced through her own. She squeezed his hand to let him know she was okay, not trusting herself to look up at him. Then, letting go, she turned back to face the camera just as Ethan began speaking once again. 'Well, show and tell over, this is pretty much your bog standard swegway house race. Haha, 'bog'. Harry this one's for you.' He giggled at Harry, who rolled his eyes. 'Alright then, let's have a look at the track.' He moved to out of the room, wielding a hand held camera to show the viewers where they would be racing.
They'd start at the front door, before going left around the staircase and into the kitchen, where they would circle the island twice and entering the hallway again. Then they would head straight across to the living room, where you'd have to get off the swegway to go down the stairs and get back on once you reached the bottom. In there would be a series of obstacles set up, each of which they'd have to weave around. Once they got past all of these, they'd have to go back up the stairs and go into the table tennis room, where they had to spin three times on the spot, and finally cross the finish line by going through the double doors into the garden. Originally Ethan had suggested going into the green screen room to finish so that he could use it to add some cool backgrounds, but Sophie pointed out that if anyone fell over, it'd be a lot nicer falling on grass than the hard wood floor, as he'd already done. He laughed, agreeing with her and changed it, making her smile at the idea that her opinion was important for once.
After a couple of minutes, Ethan returned to the group in the living room and delegated marshalling points around the track. Harry volunteered to be the first one to go around the track, so that left Simon, Josh, Tobi, JJ, Ethan, Vik and Sophie to marshal. Cameras had been set up at specific points to record each person's attempt, so a cameraman wasn't needed. Simon was posted at the front door to start the timer, and would then run into the garden to wait for the person to finish; Josh would be in the kitchen to make sure that they went around the island twice; Tobi, Ethan and JJ would be in the living room supervising the obstacles. Sophie and Vik were right at the very end, counting the spins and ensuring that once they came back up the stairs, they actually got back on the swegway instead of just spinning around and running over the finish line. After each person finished their turn, they would swap places with the next person. With their roles all sorted, they began the races, with Sophie going last, her being the special guest.
