Chapter 24-

"Enough about your problems Brianna it's my turn now." I complained to Brianna she's still whining about the whole kissing drew thing while she's going out with Blake, and Blake is so oblivious to it.

"Um that was rude" she tried defending.

"We'll you've been complaining about this for two weeks and I'm tired of it" I said this time. I'm a little not in the mood this week.

"Wow Val are we on today?" She asked.

"Um doesn't matter if I am or not. No help me!" I complained.

"With what, dear Liza" she joked.

"We'll Devin's birthday is next week and I have no idea why to get him, and than I have some thing with T.C and his family the week after that" I told her all in one breath

"So what's the problem with the second thing?" Bri asked.

"What do mean what's the problem it's a formal event, and I have nothing to wear!!!" I said dramatically.

"Oh than let's go shopping you can get a dress for the party and Devin's birthday present, it's like killing two birds with one stone" she winked.

"Oh yah that sounds good thank god Anna gave me the day off today" Anna is my home school teacher she hasn't been my teacher very long though. Anna is 24 years old has short blonde hair and green eyes. She kinda looks like Brianna except her hair is shorter.

"Yah lucky now let's go" she said.

"Hold on one sec, I wanna ask Blake if his girlfriend were to get him something for his birthday what would he want. You know just so I can get an idea of what to Devin.

"Kay ill be waiting in the car!" Brianna said and just walked out.

I walked two step to Blake's room and knocked on the door.

"Come in!" He said right away.

I jumped right in the car with Brianna after talking to Blake about Devin's present. He mentioned getting him, a few things like easy things and than one big thing!

"So what did Blake say?" Brianna asked as we started driving down the road.

"Well he said I should just get him a few simple things and than one big thing, and I think I know exactly what I'm gonna do" I said with a big smile on my face.

We pulled up to the mall pretty quickly before we went into any dress shops I got Devin's presents first. I decided on a few T-Shirts from American eagle, an ITunes gift card, a SnapBack with his name on it, and a picture frame that will have a picture of us in it. I know Blake said something big but we haven't been going out for that long yet so I don think its right.

"I can't believe you got him all of that" Brianna said surprised as we walked into a dress shop that goes by the name of unique boutique. I can see why they call it that, it has a lot of variety and different style dresses here.

"It's not that much I'm sure he'd do the same for me if it were my birthday!" I assure her. And it's true Devin is that kind of person he's a great person who deserves all I'm giving him, and he's a nice person who likes to give to people.

Brianna was about to speak again when a elderly lady beat her to it.

"Hello ladies anything I can help you with today?" She asked.

"Actually yes please I'm looking for a dress to wear to my best friends big family event party type thing" I told her.

"Well is it like very high class and formal or like party formal?" She asked.

"Well it's more like a party type event, it's gonna be really fun!" I explained.

"Oh okay follow me over here we have a great variety of party dresses, I think you would look great in a dress like this!" She said pulling down a light purple dress from a high rack.

"Oh Val that's so pretty and that color would look amazing on you. Try it on!!!" Brianna said excitedly

"Yah it's cute, I'll be right back" I said agreeing to try it on.

When I came out with the dress on Brianna gasped.

"Oh my god Valerie that dress looks amazing especially on you!" She said clapping her hands together I turned right around to look in the mirror. It does look amazing. It's light purple fitted from the bust to below my belly button, then just flowed out to jut above my knee. It has spaghetti straps that tie around the back of my neck. It's beautiful. It's amazing. It's perfect, to bad I'm wearing it to a party with T.C and not Devin.

"Wow sweetie it looks perfect" the elder lady said to me.

"Yes I really love it!" I said admiring it in the mirror a little more.

"So what are you thinking, you buying?" She asked kinda anxious.

"Um... Yah I'm buying" I said confident for no reason.

"Yay I'll go set up for you as soon as you take the dress off" she smiled.

I just smiled back and got into the change room to put my clothes back on. I'm glad I found a dress so fast, that lady really can tell a lot about people if she can pick out the perfect dress for any occasion just for that one person!

I gave Brianna my dress and she brought it to the cashier as I finished putting on my clothes.

As soon as I got out I payed for my gorgeous dress and we finally left the mall. I'm glad I got everything done today usually I don't get everything I need to in one day.

I can't wait to give Devin his gifts next week and to party in that gorgeous dress in two! I'm exited!!!

Authors note- dedication goes to the lady who owns the dress shop down the street I might come by and buy the entire store again.

Anyway chapter is kinda short but it didn't take me to long to write plus school and dealing with people talking about my ex boyfriend in front me a lot just to piss me off! #hatelife please vote and fan also recommend please! love you all!!! Ps: this is probably so dumb cause I'm so tired right now Idk what's even going on! Pss: btw I changed Valerie's tutor/ home school teacher's name to Anna instead of it being Laura!
