Chapter 38-

"So I thought for tonight, we would do something kinda old school" Devin said as we arrived in front of and old looking faint yellow painted building.

"Okay" I said plainly.

"Okay? What's the matter?" he asked me.

"Nothing it's just, I'm kinda nervous at what's inside" I said. I mean it looks really old and kinda scary.

"You're scared?" He asked.

I nodded.

"You won't be when you get inside it's just older than other places" Devin assured me.

"Okay, I trust you" I said and grabbed his hand.

"Ohhhhh, I can't believe I was nervous about going into a bowling alley" I said with amusement in my voice when we walked in. It is a pretty old school looking place and there aren't too many people here so it'll be nice.

"Exactly see, let's go get our shoes on" he said.

"Is it gonna be only us playing?" I asked him, you can't play with only 2 people.

"No actually they will match us up with another couple and it'll be 2 on 2" he told me.

"Oh cool, I've never played like that" I told him.

"I think that's them" he said gesturing to a couple sitting at the third and fourth lane area.

"Oh my god" I said noticing who the 2 people are. I know them. I remember them from freshman year of high school, before I started being homeschooled. I tried hiding my face a bit so they (her mostly) wouldn't recognize me.

"What's wrong?" Devin asked me.

"That girl over there, I know her from when I went to school. She was the meanest person I've ever met in my life, she would make fun of me everyday and for a different reason everyday. She's half of the reason I started being homeschooled" I explained to Devin.

"Valerie it's ok, that's over now. Just don't let her get to you, and if she starts to act like a bitch than we'll leave okay?" He told me.

"Okay" I breathed simply and took his hand as we started to walk over to the lanes.

"Hey guys, we'll be playing against you guys I'm Devin" Devin started and shook hands with Evan. Evan was the most popular guy in school and she was the most popular hoe in school.

"I'm Evan, and this is my girlfriend Rachel" he introduced them both.

"Nice to meet you guys, this is my girlfriend Valerie" Devin said now introducing me.

"Hey Valerie, I'm Rachel" she said sticking her hand out to me. I shook her hand kinda confused. I can't believe she doesn't recognize me.

"You guys don't recognize me?" I asked them both looking back and fourth between them both.

Rachel shook her head no.

"Oh. Wow Valerie you look amazing" Evan said finally recognizing me. Rachel looked over at him in question.

"Rach, it's Valerie remember? She was in our 9th grade Spanish, and math class" Evan explained to her.

"No way, that Valerie was disgusting. You though, look great" she said pointing towards me.

"No Rachel, it's me!" I told her.

"Than I take that back" she said and turned on her heal to sit down. What a bitch... She hasn't changed a bit.

"You okay?" Devin asked.

"Yeah, lets win this game" I told him.

"Okay so we will go first and than you guys can go ahead" Evan told us and we just nodded.
