Chapter 9-

"Comon Brianna he's probably already there!" I complained. Brianna was gonna evaluate our dancing today and was taking a huge amount of time to get ready.

"Hold on Val I wanna look good for your boyfriend" she teased.

"Brianna he's not my boyfriend" I snapped.

"Yet" she retorted.

"Yet" I repeated and smiled while she let out a small giggle.

"Kk ready" she said finally.

"Well it's about time" I said back.

"Oh let's just go" she whined and we were off, out the door to the studio.

It took Brianna and I a good 20 minutes to walk to the studio. I was chilly out but not freezing so I was okay with it.

When we got inside we went straight to room 143 witch is the room Devin and I always rehearse in.

"Hey Devin" I said walking in with Brianna on my tail.

"Hey Val" he said surprising me with a hug. I really wasn't expecting that.

"Um this is Brianna by the way, she's gonna tell us how great we are at dancing together" I said introducing them.

They both simply exchanged waves and smiles. Brianna took at seat at the front of the room against the mirror, and right next to the stereo.

"Are you ready?" I asked Devin.

"Yah I think, I mean I never stopped practicing. And having you there makes it better" he said and I blushed.

"Well it is a duet so it's only gonna work with two people" I said back touching my toes, stretching before the dance.

"Well we're gonna get started now. You sure you're ready?" I asked Devin again.

"Yes totally" he said though he looked quite nervous.

"Okay I'll go put the CD in!" I said walking off.

"Woah Val he's a cutie, and he looks like he likes you a lot too" Brianna said as I slipped the CD in.

"I know look at me bri I'm smitten" I admit.

"Well lets see this dance, winner" she joked she knows I've won many awards in dance since I was three.

"Okay let's go" I shouted and the music started and so did we.

Devin and I were at the lift part, and I couldn't help but smile down at him as he held me above him. Then slowly letting me fall his hands supporting the small of my back, and boom the fast dancing starts up again.

Devin was doing awesome for only a week at learning, he will totally make it at the next audition I have no doubts!

Finally finishing in our finishing pose our dance was finally well finished.

I looked over at Brianna and she looked surprised.

"Devin right?" She asked looking at him.

"Yeah" he answered tiredly.

"Congrats on learning Val's extremely difficult choreography, I would've quit in a day good for you! You did amazing" Brianna said.

He smiled big proud of him self, I was too it was difficult and he did great. I can't wait till he gets the yes from Jayk, because now I know it's guaranteed.

"Well thank you Brianna I do have an amazing teacher though" he said swinging his sweaty arm around my shoulder and kissing my cheek. I died as the butterflies awakened in my stomach, flying around like crazy trying to break free.

"Thanks Devin, you are an awesome student" I played returning the kiss on his cheek, trying to keep balance as I felt totally awkward doing so!

I saw him turn a bit red in the cheeks but I decided I better not point it out. It was okay though cause he just laughed it off!

Brianna just left the studio while I was showering quickly, after I was so patient waiting for her this morning.

At least Devin waited for me though but he usually does anyway.

"Ready to go?" I asked him we already made plans for lunch today.

"Yeah let's go" he said as we left out the front door walking on the right side of the street.

We walked along the side walk, my heals loudly clicking against the concrete.

Devin's hand brushed mine as we walked past a hair salon but I just ignored it, and continued looking forward.

"Hey so I found your instagram last night"! He told me. That's weird my profile picture is of the both of us.

"Really?" I tried to play cool, not working.

"Yah I followed you and, by the way I love your profile pic it's really cute" he winked.I blushed and smiled, as we continued walking. Again his hand brushed mine. I just ignored it again but Devin didn't as he grabbed my hand in his, and started swinging our arms in between us. Oh my god he's so cute, so funny, so sweet, soo perfect! I really really like him.

I smiled up at him and he smiled back down at me as we finally stopped in front of a Italian restaurant. Italian is my favorite!!

We walked in and sat down in a booth next to the window. I still haven't asked if Devin would like to go to the concert with me, next Friday night yet. Ill ask him after we have lunch.

"Aww you kids are such a cute couple" commented and old lady siting a table away.

"Oh we're just friends" I said back.

"Oh are guys sure because I think you two look really cute together" she said back.

"Oh thank you mrs, we are a cute couple aren't we Val" he said putti g his arm around me and kissing my temple. That cutie has got to stop to many butterflies how can he not see them.

After our shared meat lovers Italian style pizza and chocolate milkshakes, our waiter brought over our bill. We were finally finished lunch and it was time for me to just ask him about the concert.

"So" I started "my amazing big brother surprised me the other day with concert tickets and back stage passes to Hedley, and I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go with me?" I said the last part a little nervous.

"Hedley? Yah that concert will be so cool yah I'll come for sure, when?" He answered and I was glad he answered yes.

"Next Friday night after our lesson" I said back.

"Cool anyway babe I'll see you Monday morning 9:00am on time though" he poked.

"Hey I was only late today cause Brianna was taking for ever to get ready. Oh yah an she's gonna test you solo on Friday too!" I mentioned.

"Bye Val" he said kissing my forehead this time, he's given me many kisses today but hey I don't mind.

I said bye back and we walked our separate ways home. I'm so unbelievably happy about the concert I knew is was gonna be amazing but now I know it's gonna be extraordinary.
