The surprise

Chapter 6-



I walked home from the diner, Devin and I had a really good time, laughed a lot, ate, we even shared a dessert.

We messed with the waiter took a few silly pictures I guess you can call us really good friends now at least that's a step up from stranger.

It was the best time I've had in a while, with someone other than my brother, drew and T.C.

I walked in the front door and could hear the boys giggling on the sofa in the living room.

"Jayk I'm back!" I echoed "hey Val come watch TV with us!" He said. So I walked over into the living room and they were all watching MTV.

I sat in between Jayk and the arm of the sofa watching a Hedley concert. I love Hedley so much they are my most favorite band I've loved them since I can remember and I can say this is the closest I've ever seen them live.

"So I'm surprised you aren't curious about the surprises I got for you" Jayk said to me lowering the volume of the TV.

"Oh yah I almost forgot. Lay em on me" I said excitedly, he rarely surprises me so this should be fun.

"Ok I'm gonna have you guess what I got you" he said I frowned.

"Why? can't you just give it to me?" I complained.

"Nope" he laughed.

"Can you at least give me a hint?" I asked him.

"It's already been given to you" he said. What the hell is that supposed to mean.

I looked over at T.C who was sitting on that lazy boy again and he was pointing at the TV screen.

Huh? no way! OMG!! I smiled so big.

"Oh my god you did not Jayk I love you, is this for real?" I freaked.

"You bet your going to see Hedley live!" He said holding out two tickets in front of me.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh OHMYGOD" I screamed jumping on to him hugging him so tightly. I was freaked like I said they're my favorite band ever.

I got up "oh my god what's my other surprise?" I asked him wondering what could be better than this.

"Oh yah the other surprise hold one one second" he said.

Turning around to search his back pack for whatever it was.

"Ok here you go two.."

"BACK STAGE PASSES, AAHHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed at the sight of them.

"Ohmygod Jayk thank you thank you" I screeched and hugged him soo tight.

"No problem Val you're my little sister and I love you. Also you've been so responsible lately you even got a job all by yourself" he laughed.

I just smiled pulling away from our hug.

I heard my phone ringing from my room so I took my tickets and backstage passes, and headed up to my room to answer it.



"Heyy" I answered Brianna's call

"Hey hey girl!" She sounded happy then again she usually does.

"What's up?" I asked her playing with my fav necklace hanging from my jewelry holder.

"Oh just sitting in my room watching a Hedley concert, I was wondering if you wanna sleepover tonight?" She asked.

I didn't bother telling her that I got tickets, and backstage passes to see them she doesn't love their music as much as I do. Plus I was planning on asking a certain somebody else to join me at the concert. You know not if it would be awkward though.

"Oh yah sure let me just ask my brother first" I told her as I hung over the railing calling over to Jayk.

"JJAAYYYKK, can I go over to Brianna's tonight for a sleepover?" I called down the stairs.

"Umm.. As long as you behave, you don't leave the house and they're most definitely no boys" he said standing at the bottom of the stairs looking up at me.

Why is he so touchy on the subject of boys and me. I'm a teenage girl, he's got to learn to accept the fact that I no longer think that boys have cooties. More so now because I really like Devin and having a relationship with him is possible, but he could never like a girl like me, his dance instructor or teacher if you may.



"Of course Jayk I know all the rules and will follow them" I said back to him.

"Ok I'll drive you over" he said and I went back in my room to start packing my stuff, for tonight and tomorrow.

"My god Brianna, he said yes" I said through the phone back to Brianna.

"Oh my gosh I thought he might say no again, we're gonna have so much fun tonight" she squealed.

"Oh my god I know I'll be over shortly, see yah chica" I said.

"Ok bye" she laughed as did I.

"Bye" I said before both of us hung up.

It took me about 10 minutes to finish packing all I need into a small bag filled with everything I needed.

"Jayk I'm ready" I said waiting at the front door of the house.

He ran over to me, opened the door and let me out gesturing for me to get in the car.

I did as he did the same "do you remember where her house is?" I asked him.

"Actually no it's been a while since you two hung out, what's her address again I'll plug it into the GPS" he said he sounded kinda weird I wonder what's going on with him.

"Ok her address is 23 Derose Avenue" I said as I hit my heal down on to something on the floor.

"Hey whose is this cause I know it's not mine or one of the other guys" I said holding up a sapphire hooped earring in my hand, but just a single earring not a pair.

I looked at Jayk and he looked a little nervous as his chewed on the left side of his lower lip.

"Ohhh" I said placing back on the ground and avoiding any eye contact with him for the rest of the ride.



Wow. My brother is absolutely incredible with this kinda thing. Like he's such a flirt, he gets a lot of what he wants and it really confuses me. And this is just too awkward for me like, I don't even want to get into what he was doing when this earring fell off of the last girl he was with. The worst part is I rarely ever meet any of the girls he's always on to the next. Guess he just hasn't found the one yet know what I mean. But the best part is that he makes a lot of time for me, his little sister. I rather him spend time with me than those slutty girls he usually picks out.



"Ok here we are" Jayk said as he stopped in the drive way of Brianna's house.

"Thanks Jayk" I said kissing his cheek and closing the door behind me.

I started walking up to the door when Jayk called me back "yeah?" I answered.

"I'm picking you up early tomorrow morning we're all gonna do something fun tomorrow" he winked.

"Ok Jayk bye I love you" I said and waved as he finally left.

I walked to Brianna's front door and rang the door bell in less then a second she opened the door.

"Hey ready to have some fun?" She asked.

"Absolutely!" I said and ran in.







Authors note- so much fking homework witch is why this is taking me so long I have the literacy test/OSSLT tomorrow and then a math test and history test and a essay due on Friday FML. Anyway I will update as soon as possible so please fan vote and comment.
