Chapter 25 : Dream

"Kai signum resolvia zer amus termini! Cies notas pervum kai!"

Napasigaw ako dahil biglang nag-init ang parte kung saan siya nakahawak. It feels like something is burning inside me. Something powerful. Something terrifying.

"This is not yet the right time, Reika."

Once again, I heard that voice. I closed my eyes and found myself in the middle of en empty white room. Is this a dream? A hallucination?

"Who are you?" tanong ko at naglakad papunta sa gitna.

"It's not yet the right time. Stop her, Reika, or you'll die."

"Where are you? Bakit? Anong mangyayari?" I scanned the whole room but nobody's here except me.

"Trust me."

"How can I trust you if you can't even show yourself? Ano bang nangyayari sa akin? Bakit ako nilagyan ng Limiter seal? Sila Mama at Papa ba ang naglagay nito?"

Ang daming tanong sa isip ko nung sinabi ni Astrid 'yun. Mas lalo pa akong naguluhan dahil may possibility na ang parents ko ang naglagay sa akin. Bakit nila ako lalagyan ng ganun? May tinatago ba akong lakas? Am I too powerful? But that's impossible.

Suddenly, a swarm of spirit particles surrounded me.

"I can't show myself yet, Reika. Yes, your parents, Kass and Ramon, put that seal to protect you. They sacrificed their lives for your sake. That's why stop releasing the seal or your parents' sacrifice will be in vain."

Napahinto ako nung narinig ko 'yun at bigla kong naalala ang huling beses na nakita ko sina Mama at Papa. Their warm smiles while telling me a happy birthday. Their warm hugs.

"Reika..."

I opened my eyes and the pain returned. But this time, lumayo ako kay Astrid kahit na sobrang sakit na ng likod at balikat ko.

"—comvien relivus—!"

Bumagsak ako sa sahig habang hawak ang balikat ko. Pinipigilan kong sumigaw pero hindi ko kaya dahil parang nasusunog ang loob ng katawan ko.

"Reika!" Nakita kong lumuhod sina Master at Ryleigh para alalayan ako.

"I was halfway through releasing the seal. Why did you do that?" tanong ni Astrid at nakita kong parang napaso ang kamay niya dahil sa sobrang pula.

Huminga ako nang malalim at tumingin sa kanya.

"I-it's not...yet the...right time..."

"What do you mean?"

"I just know that...that...it's not yet the time...to undo the seal..."

They shared confused looks but I decided not to tell them about the voice I've heard. Something's telling me that I need to keep that a secret.

"I-I'm sorry...about your...hand..." sabi ko at napatingin silang lahat sa kamay ni Astrid.

"Maybe you're right," sabi niya. "Ngayon na lang ulit nagkaganito ang kamay ko after activating or releasing a seal. The more powerful the seal is, the more my body will take a damage."

Tumingin siya kina Master at Gavin at inalalayan naman ako ni Ryleigh. Sinuot niya rin sa akin ang jacket niya dahil nanginginig ang buong katawan ko.

"Take her to my room," sabi ni Astrid kay Ryleigh at agad naman niya akong binuhat. "Gavin, Ariah, let's talk outside," saka sila lumabas sa library.
