"Mr Ian, you can't just stop my meeting whenever you feel like." I said upset as I gather my bag and folders on the table. "My team and I follow a strict time table. Please understand that."

He closed the door and walk towards me. He was serious. What now?

"My father was very clear Ms Summer..."  He crossed his arms. "You are in charge of my training."

Huminga ako ng malalim. Why is this guy so hard headed?

"Mr Ian, yes, I am in charge. I will supervise your training with Ms Ej" I replied trying to sound patient.

"From what I can recall, you should train me personally." He insisted. He now sounded impatient.

I did not respond and just stared at him. I took a deep breath and gather my things again.
I have my bag and my folders in my hand when he quickly grabbed it and slammed it down the table.

"What is your problem?" I finally said irritated.

"My father said you are the best in this team and that I should learn from you!" He pointed at me. "Should I just tell him that he is wrong about you?"

He sounded sarcastic. The nerve of this guy! That's it, I've had enough of this!

"Mr Ian, I really don't know what your problem is!" I tried to reason out. "Ej is one of the best, you will learn a lot from her. I don't really see why its a big deal!"

"This is a big deal because this is a matter of responsibility. I am your responsibility. Whether you like it or not, you will have to bare with me." He still looked serious.

Di ko talaga alam ang problema! Obviously, we clash. A lot!

"Bakit? Bakit pinipilit mo?" Naiirita kong tanung sa kanya.

"Bakit ba ayaw mo?" Naiirita rin niyang tanung.

"Because we obviously don't like each other. And the moment we met, wala na ang respetohan. So I don't see why you kept pushing me to train you."

Tumalikod siya at naglakad papunta sa pinto. "You don't need to know why. We don't need to like each other. We just have to be professionals. You can do that right?"

"Mr Ian!" I called him as he walk away.

"You don't need to like me. And I don't need to like me." He kept walking. He opened the door and faced me. "Nothing personal, just business"

Sobrang nakakairita!

"Ms Cath..."  Someone called out for me from outside the office.

"Good afternoon Mr Mark." I greeted as I enter his office. I scanned the room to see if his arrogant son is already there. I was relieved when I did not see any sign of him!

"Ahh yes, Ms Cath please come in and take a seat."

"May problema po ba?"

"No no. Gusto ko lang kamustahin ang anak ko"

Mr Mark is very polite and humble. He gives value to his employees and he shows he cares.

- Pasimple kong sagot.

"Ms Cath, I can already see that you two don't get along well.

"Wala pong kaso yun Mr Mark." Sagot ko agad sa kanya.

"Ms Cath, just please bare with him. His mom and I got divorced when he was still very young. Halos di kami naguusap, nagkikita lang kami once a year for just a week. Pero 6 months ago, his mother died, kaya siya nandito. To prove me that he is ready to be part of the company, prove na kaya niya at prove na kahit wala ako sa tabi niya, he is capable and that he grew up to be a fine man."

I was shocked.
He does not want to disappoint his dad. Moreover, he does not want to disappoint his self. He is doing this to prove a point. He is doing this to prove something to his dad. He's doing this to prove his self.

I may not like him but I will do my best to bare with him, I may not like him but I will do my best to respect him not only for his dad, but for his cause.
