***Brittany’s P.O.V***

“Babe, what time are you coming to the studio?” my boyfriend, Josh, asked breathlessly.

“I told you. I’ll be there after I get off work,” I said impatiently, shutting down my computer at work and putting things away in my bag.

“And that’s in two hours. Right?” he asked nervously. I narrowed my eyes even though he couldn’t see me over the phone.

“Yes. Why?”

“Nothing. I just want your arrival to be special,” he replied, and I could almost see him smirking. “But, listen, Brit, I gotta go record. Love you.” Josh didn’t even give me a chance to respond before I heard the dial tone.

“Gee, thanks, Josh,” I mumbled, finishing my office clean-up. Business was slow today, so I decided to surprise Josh at work today. He thought that I was coming in two hours though when I was supposed to, but I figured this would be a nice surprise.

As everyone knows, Josh was the drummer for the biggest boy band in the world, One Direction. Usually Josh was at the studio, but it was okay because I spent most of my day at the office. We both were home for dinner though, and then we were able to spend the night together.

Lately Josh has been coming home later than usual, and he always seemed to want to go to bed earlier than usual. There was less talking between you two, and definitely less cuddling and cute coupley things. I personally blame our unraveling relationship on the lack of amount of time we spend together nowadays. That was another part of the reason I was leaving early from work today. Maybe Josh and I just needed some more time together.

I got into my car and drove the twenty minutes to the studio, hopping out excitedly when I got there. “Hey, Brittany!” Liam greeted at the entrance, looking surprised to see me. “Josh said you were coming in two hours,” he said, giving me a hug. With Josh being in One Direction’s band, it means I’ve become great friends with One Direction. I have to say, I was closest to Harry and Niall. I felt like I could tell the two of them anything and everything, and I’ve even developed a little crush on Niall. I know it’s bad. I love Josh, but there’s just something about Niall that lures me in.

“I decided to come early and surprise everyone. Do you know where Josh is?” I asked, flipping my hair over my shoulder.
