Niall Imagine for Alecia. Let's not even discuss how late this is aha
***Alecia's P.O.V***
Today was the day. The day I woke up to my alarm piercing the silence in my room. The day that the clouds decided that they did not want to accompany the sun in the sky today. The day that the entire town waited in anxiety and excitement for the community talent show that would help support a charity for children who needed help.
I slammed my hand down on the alarm clock and crawled out of bed, limb by limb. I made my way into the bathroom, doing a double take at my tangled hair and crusty eyes. Hopefully my shower was a miracle worker and could cure this morning disease before the talent show this afternoon.
As I lathered shampoo through my hair, I thought about the talent show. I had agreed to do it because of my boyfriend, Niall. He always said I had a nice voice, and I loved to participate in events for the greater good. He pushed me to sign up, and look what happened. I rinsed out the shampoo, ticking off things in my head. I had the song picked out, I had rehearsed it constantly over the past two weeks, and I had an outfit and hairstyle all picked out. I really hope people come and see the show to support the charity.
After my shower, I combed my hair; it immediately formed waves as soon as it started to dry. I sighed, pinning it up in a bun so it would be somewhat neat when I wanted to style it for the show. Wrapping the towel around myself, I exited the bathroom and entered my room. My eyes landed on a girl sitting on the edge of my bed, staring at my phone.
“(Y/BFF/N)!” I yelled, tightening the towel around me. My best friend jumped, not hearing me come into the room, but then smirked at me and waved. “What are you doing here so early? And why do you have my phone?”
She shrugged and threw the phone in the hair, letting it flip a couple of times in midair before she caught it. “I got bored, and there was no food in my house, so I came here. And your lover-boy had texted you.”
“Please tell me you didn’t read it,” I begged.
“You didn’t let me finish my story,” she scolded, crossing her legs. “So lover-boy texted you, and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t urgent or anything, so I read it.”
I groaned. “Well what did it say then?”
“Something about wishing you luck at the talent show. He wishes he could be there. You’ll do perfect. He loves you. Blah, blah, blah,” she joked, handing me my phone as I slipped on a shirt.
I opened the most recent from Niall and smiled as I read his good luck message to me. Niall and the rest of One Direction were currently in Australia, touring for the rest of the month. He was going to miss the talent show, and he was upset about it, partly since he practically forced me to do it in the first place. I sighed. I miss Niall. I miss his hugs and his laugh and how he always made me feel happy, no matter what mood I was in.
“Hey, stop moping,” (Y/BFF/N) chided, bumping my shoulder. “You have a show to put on today. Let’s get you ready.”
*Two Hours Later*
“Alecia! Are you ready? You’re on in ten minutes!” (Y/BFF/N) called out to me from backstage. I had been standing in the same dark corner for the last twenty minutes, trying desperately to get ahold of Niall.
