Louis Imagine

"Trick-or-Treat!" I chanted out with a whole group of other seven year olds. The old lady that owned the house chuckled and gave us each two lollipops. Yay! My favorite! We thanked the lady and I skipped down the sidewalk back to my mother, who was waiting for me.

It was Halloween night and I was dressed as a princess to go Trick-or-Treating. I had a big, puffy, pink dress and my mom had curled my waist-length caromel colored hair. We even topped of the costume with a tiara and soft pink lipstick.

When I reached my mother, she was talking to another lady that I recognized as our new neighbor. She had a baby in her arms and a little boy standing next to her. He was dressed up like a prince. "Mommy! Mommy! Look! The lady gave us lollipops!" I cried out, skipping over to her.

Mom smiled and then turned to the lady. "Jay, this is my daughter, (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Jay Tomlinson. She has a son named Louis. He's seven too," Mom told me with a smile.

I turned my attention to the little boy next to Jay and smiled at him. He returned my smile and turned to his mom. "Mum, can I go Trick-or-Treating for a few house with (Y/N)?" Louis asked.

"Sure, hun. Go hit the rest of the houses and meet us back here when you're finished." Louis smiled and grabbed my hand, racing up the next driveway. I giggled and followed.

The man that owned the house gave us each a Snickers bar and Louis and I started to walk to the house next door. "You look really pretty tonight," Louis told me.

I blushed a little. "Thanks."

Louis stopped short and rummaged around in his candy bag for a few minutes before looking back up at me. He extended his hand out while holding a lollipop in it. "Will you be my best friend?" he asked.

**9 Years Later**

It was Halloween night, nine years since the day you became best friends with Louis. We were still best friends to this day. "(Y/N)!!!!" Louis called out, letting himself into my house.

"Yes, you can come in, Louis," I told him, chuckling. He smiled and took a handful of chips from the bag I was holding. "Hey!" I protested.

Louis ignored me and asked me if we were going trick-or-treating tonight.

"Lou, we're sixteen. Aren't we a little too old for this?" I asked, popping a Dorito into my mouth. Long sotry short: Louis pestured me about it until I finally gave in. He then handed me a box and told me to wear that tonight, and then he left to go and get ready.

I sighed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. After I got out, I blow dryed my still waist-length caromel hair. I decided to put it in a messy bun so that I could do my makeup first. I don't normally wear makeup, but tonight I decided to use eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss. Nothing major and nothing that would make me feel like a walking barbie doll.

It took me until I had just finished with the makeup to realize I don't even know what costume Louis had set up for me to wear. I walked out of the bathroom and went over to my bed, which I had thrown the box onto. I opened it and pulled out a long, pinck dress. The top had a little sparkly, design on it, the sparkles continuing on farther down the dress until it flared out. I physically felt my jaw drop at the site of it; it was beautiful! There were three other boxes underneath the dress, each one smaller than the first. The largest of the three held a pair of pink sparkly sandals. The second largest held a twinkling tiara. And the third held a necklace with a shiny heart on the end. I felt myself smile and then raced in the bathroom to change.

I was rearranging my tiara when someone, I'm assuming Louis, knocked on my front door. I went to answer it, laughing nervously when I saw him standing there holding a pumpkin basket. He was dressed as a prince from, like, Cinderella. "Wow. Lottie was right. You do look incredible," he whispered, eyes wide. I blushed and looked down at my feet.

"Are we gonna go?" I asked Louis, grabbing a plastic cauldron to collect candy in.

"Yea!! Candy!" he called out like a little child. I giggled. You trick-or-treated for a few hours. Before you knew it, you were back on your street and it was about ten o'clock.

"My feet hurt. Can we go back now? We can watch scary movies," I proposed to him, tugging on his arm.

"Hold on. I just wanna go one more place," Louis begged. I sighed, and Louis took my hand, leading me down a few streets until we reached a familiar house.

"Louis, what are we doing here?" I asked, confused, turning to look at Louis. But he had stopped and was digging through his candy bag. He found what he wanted and smirked. Putting his candy bowl on the ground, he came toward me, keeping whatever he had in his had clenched in his fist, hidden from me.

"Louis-," I started to say, but Louis cut me off.

"(Y/N), I don't know if you remember this place as clearly as I do, but this is the same street where we first met. You were dressed as a princess, and I was a prince. This is where we started, and I have to let you know that you are the greatest friend ever. I could not wish for a better friend than you, (Y/N)." Louis paused and took a deep breath. "Nine years ago, I asked you to be my best friend, and I haven't regretted asking that question for nince years. And tonight, exactly nine years later, I want to ask you something else."

All I could do was stare at Louis as he got down on one knee and presented me with a lollipop. "(Y/N), will you be my girlfriend?"
