Here's your second imagine, Jessie! Hope you like it! :)
**Jessie’s P.O.V**
I sighed as I braked my bike, gently stepping off of it and walking it towards the bike area. I must be the only girl in the entire high school who still rides their bike to school. I mean, it’s not like I wanted too! I was already the “nerd” here. But I didn’t have enough money to buy my own car, and my father uses the car we have now every day to drive to work and back. So I was stuck riding a bike to school.
High school wasn’t as good as people rave about, but it wasn’t terrible either. It was somewhere in the middle. I didn’t have a whole lot of friends. I only had a couple, and they were the people that you would find holed up in a corner of their library, their noses stuck in some dusty history book. But, I wasn’t bullied either. I was lucky enough to be a “geek” at a school where people just ignored me and stuck to their regular cliques.
I locked up my bike and hefted my back pack higher onto my shoulder, ready to face the long day ahead of me. Today was one of those rare days where virtually every class decided to give me a test. Well, all except Home Cooking and Appliances. I don’t even know why I’m taking that class, other than the fact that my mother pretty much made me. She said that it would be good for my future and would let me learn a lot about the home environment. After two years of being enrolled in the class, I still don’t see why she couldn’t teach me half the stuff that I learn in there.
I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn’t realize that someone was walking towards me until we collided. “Ouch,” I muttered, rubbing my forehead.
“I’m sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going!” a boy’s voice cried out, and I felt a hand grab my shoulder to steady me. I looked up to see Louis Tomlinson, captain of the boys’ football/soccer team, staring down at me with worry, his phone in his free hand.
“Don’t worry about it. I was thinking too much,” I replied, my cheeks heating up. Louis also happened to be in my Home Cooking and Appliances class. I guess we know why I didn’t drop out of the class sooner.
“You’re always thinking, aren’t you, Jessie?” he chuckled, and I looked up, confused.
“You know my name?” I asked dumbly.
Louis nodded, and I felt my heart inflate at the fact that the school’s most popular boy knew the nerd’s name. “Yeah, you’re in one of my classes.” And my heart deflates. “I’ll see you then!” he called, walking off to join his friends next to the fountain at the front of the school.
I sighed again, pushing my glasses up the bridge of my nose. I hastily walked to my locker, making sure to keep my head down. When I got to my locker, though, I wasn’t the only one there. My friend, Andy, stood there, leaning against the wall reading her book. She looked up when she heard me coming and smiled, closing the book.
“Hey, Jess,” she said, watching me as I opened my locker and took my English textbook out.
“What’s up, Andy?” I asked.
“Nothing much. Hey, did you know that polar bears are the largest land predators on Earth?”
