"I was only joking!"
"I thought you said to practice my aim. And now that I have this power, shouldn't I practice that as well?"
"Not on me! I've kept this hairstyle for longer than your civilization can remember!"
"I don't give two shits about your hair, just let me hit you!!"
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!"
Two slightly blurry shapes could be seen sweeping through the crowd. One was a shade of white, threading his way though the throng at the morning market, heading towards the back door of the village. The shorter blur, just on the first's tail and hurling obscenities, closely followed, opting for a more direct route than Asura's careful dodging method.
Both of them, however, missed the small shape of what seemed to be a child in their path. Just as Asura turned the corner to dodge on of Magathea's bolts, he looked back to strike a fantastically accurate mockery of Magrathea writhing in pain. Magrathea responded with three choice cusses, and threw as many bolts of blue light in the direction of whatever of Asura was poking around the corner.
At this time, two thing happened at almost the exact time. The child dropped a basket of flower, spilling them on the pavement. Quickly bending over to pick them up, Asura could not see the obstruction as he turned rapidly and resumed his flight from the murderous blond on his tail.
So Asura bumped into the kid.
"Ah shit." That was the only two words he got out as two of the three shots slammed into his face. He consequently tripped over the kneeling form beneath him and was sent sprawling onto the rough, sandy, not to mention covered with roses, pavement.
The child let out a squeal that could not have come from a boy, just as Magrathea rounded the turn with a smile of a predator finally getting dinner. It was quite apt that his 'dinner' was in fact a girl, on the verge of tears.
"Umm...are you gonna..."
The girl started crying.
"This is all your fault, Magrathea."
Magrathea was speechless. A rare event.
