~Sonic's P.O.V~

Tails leapt over beside Sonic while he was talking to Rouge and Amy. "I told Shadow, but he may be a little upset for a bit. He and Silver had a little... scuffle."
"What do you mean by that?" Sonic facepalmed himself when Amy asked that question. Why should she care?
"It was about how nervous Shadow is do to the assembly, Silver kind of made fun of him for it."
"Well that was a dumb move," Rouge flapped her wings and flew up a little in the air. "I'm gonna go help set up the rest of the bleachers." She looked down to Sonic and smiled. "You two have fun." She winked and dashed off, leaving Sonic to growl as his face lit up bright red.
"That stupid bat!" Sonic covered his eyes in his hands.
"Don't worry about her, Sonic," Tails said, putting one hand on the blue hedgehog's shoulder. "You'll get used to it." He spun his tails and flew off, leaving him alone with Amy.
Amy pat Sonic on the back. "Tails is right, Rouge is just a little mean. She's not that big of a problem." She then got up. "I'll leave you alone now, I can tell you really want to see Shadow right now." She turned to a door in the gym and ran through it into the room behind it; who knew what was back there?
Sonic gave a sigh, sitting up a little. He had lost himself in thought for the moment when Amy ran off. Most of the noise in the gymnasium had died down as he thought hard. He wasn't the type of person to accept criticism, so he wouldn't get very used to talking to Rouge for a while. He wasn't that much a fan of bats either. There was one thing he was a hug fan of, though.
"You really lose yourself in though a lot, don't you?" Sonic jumped a bit at the voice, but then he let his fur lay flat when he realized who it was.
"It must be really fun to scare me, isn't it, Shad?" Sonic grinned as he looked up to the other hedgehog.
Shadow gave a small chuckle. "Well, you're right on one thing." He sat down next to the blue hedgehog. "Tails told me you wanted to see me?"
"Yea.." Sonic rubbed his arm. "I just had something important I needed talk to you about."
"Well I'm right here." Sonic gave a sigh.
"Right..." He perked himself up a little, and tried to put his thought into words. "You remember last night, right?"
"Yeah?"
"Well... Knowing about my little 'problem...' I... Um..." Sonic couldn't really bring himself to talk; he wasn't sure how to ask the question that had been killing him all morning; Did we go too far?
Shadow moved over and put one arm over Sonic's shoulders. "I know what you're gonna ask, and I don't wanna deny that, but I do think we did. I barely even know you, and I already messed up. I don't really blame you for wanting to know something like that; I'm not that person to play the 'blame-game' on people." Sonic could feel that Shadow had began shaking as he was talking. "I don't need to blame other people for things when I do it to myself." It was barely a whisper what he had just said, but Sonic easily heard it, and it almost brought him to tears to know how Shadow really felt.
"Shadow..." Sonic scooted a little closer to Shadow, pressing himself up against the other hedgehog and resting his head on the other's shoulder. "You don't need to feel like that."
Shadow hesitated for a moment, but soon he finally spoke. "I feel like I have to. It's not just because of my nerves either..."
"I don't want to know what is," Sonic wrapped his arms around Shadow, trying to fight off the tears that began rolling down his cheeks. "All I want is to make you happy." He almost felt overwhelmed trying to talk, he wanted to keep control of himself but managed to lose it, once again. Sonic almost felt like he'd never be able to control himself.
He held tighter onto Shadow when he felt the other hedgehog's arms clasp over him. "Let me try and help the both of us; let's skip off this topic." They both broke from eachother, and Shadow gave a small, mischievous smile.
Sonic's left ear flattened. "Don't think I don't see that smile."
Shadow gave a chuckle. "Well, since we're getting off 'that' topic, I have a little secret I've been meaning to tell you."
Sonic perked his ears again. "What's that?"
"Well, remember when I said I knew what you wanted to ask me?"
"Yea...?"
"I wasn't actually joking there."
Sonic jumped a little. "Wait, are you saying that-"
"That I can read minds?"
Sonic's jaw half dropped. "How did you-"
"Think about it." Sonic thought hard for a moment.
"No way. You can't be serious!" Sonic could feel himself smiling at this, even though he didn't want to.
"It's true! It's just one of the powers I was created with, and that's not all. Just wait until you see me in a battle."
"Ooh..." Sonic sat up a bit, he almost fell off the bleacher from talking. He put one hand over his heart, he could feel it pounding and he was barely touching it. I might've gotten a little too wrapped into the moment there...
"Did you really just forget what I told you?"
Sonic jumped. "I keep losing myself! I really feel like I'm forgetting that you're there because I'm worrying about so many other things and I can't keep track of them all at once!" Sonic pulled his arms down over his stomach, it was starting to hurt a lot and he wasn't sure why, though he felt like he knew.
Shadow put one hand on Sonic's stomach, just under his own. "You're going to feel a lot of pain like this since you're new to this type of problem. You can't go down to the nurse's, because then she'll be able to figure out that we're going to have a child, and then she'll tell Aleena. I know you don't want her finding out, knowing we did it anyways would be bad enough."
Sonic looked up at Shadow, seeing the worry in his eyes. "How will I hide that it hurts though?"
"Do whatever you feel is necessary, even if it means asking one of your friends for help. Do you think you'll be able to make it through the assembly?"
"Maybe, I don't know," Sonic put his hands down beside him and Shadow took his own back. "I might be able to hold out, that just depends on who I'm sitting next to." He grinned as he looked up at Shadow, who's face turned bright red after a few seconds.
"I don't think my voice can affect your pain or make it lighter."
"Well, I'm already hypnotized by it, so I thought that it would help."
"Er-! Shut up, Sonic!" Shadow tried to hide his face in his shirt, though that didn't seem to work very well for him. He got up, uncovering his face even though it was still bright red.
"You mad?" Sonic laughed quietly.
Shadow growled slightly, but then soon just chuckled along with Sonic. "No, I'm not." Sonic got up, smiling brightly.
"Oh! By the way, I forgot to ask, are there still more preparations needed before the other grades get here?"
"Maybe, I'm not sure."
"Well, could you ask Tails if there's anything I could help out with? I don't want to let 'this' hold me back from helping people."
Shadow smiled. "I know. Don't worry, I'll ask him. He'll come to you when he finds something."
Sonic leaned over and kissed Shadow lightly for a few seconds. "Thank you." The black hedgehog hugged him tightly before running off to find the two tailed fox. Sonic felt the smallest of tears in his eyes as he watched him go. Thank you...
