~Sonic's P.O.V~

Sonic sat on the edge of his bed, holding his stomach tightly. His stomach hurt so much it was almost unbearable, but he didn't yet feel that kicking feeling like Aleena had when she was having Manic and Sonia. She explained it a little to him, as a precaution for the future. She had to of known this would happen or she wouldn't have told me. Sonic whimpered as the pain got worse. He forced himself to get up and go downstairs. He didn't even bother shutting his door. Manic and Sonia ran around the living room, and Sonia jumped on some things a she teased Manic with one of his toys by throwing it around. Sonic stopped and watched them for a bit, almost smiling. Aleena looked at him with wide eyes.
"Sonic, are you alright?" She got up and walked over to him, kneeling down and putting a hand on his shoulder.
"My stomach really hurts..." Sonic almost mumbled that. It hurt to talk as well.
"Do you want anything for it?"
"Not now, we may just have to go to the hospital eventually anyways."
"If you think you can handle it, then that's alright. Just make sure to tell me when you think you're ready," Sonic blushed a little when he figured out what she meant by that as she walked away. He looked at her as she walked back to her spot at the kitchen table. Sonic's ears perked when he heard a knock at the door. He ran over to it, and was there in no time, he was just a blur as he ran past Sonia and Manic. He opened the door a crack, looking out.
"It's about time you got back, Shadow," Shadow's ears flattened, and Sonic opened the door to let him in.
"Sonic, I need to talk to you about something," Sonic whipped around to Shadow when he said that.
"Okay..." Shadow grabbed Sonic's hand and the two walked back upstairs to their room. Shadow shut the door behind them, pausing for a moment with his hand on it.
"What happened?" Sonic whimpered, he almost already knew what was wrong by the tears that pooled in the other hedgehog's eyes.
"It...It's Maria... She..." Shadow shut his eyes, putting a hand on his head. "She left me. Gerald's going with her soon. He explained everything to me once I got there. I... I got to talk t-to her before she went there..."
Sonic's ears collapsed to the side of his head, and tears rolled down his cheeks, falling on the floor. Shadow only seemed to cry harder, as he fell to his knees, covering his eyes with his hands. Sonic walked over to him, sitting beside him and pressing himself close to the other.
Sonic couldn't even think of anything to say that would help. He got up, tears falling down his cheeks like small rivers with incredibly strong currents. He picked up some stuff and threw it, and it was pretty heavy at that. "God damn it..." He threw his hands over his head, holding it tightly even though it hurt. He collapsed onto his knees, sobbing harder than before. Sonic knew he shouldn't be worrying so much, but if Shadow wasn't happy then he couldn't be. That's just how he felt. All he wanted to do was to make people happy for once, that was something he thought he was never able to do. He couldn't think of anything to make Shadow happy, and nobody else seemed happy by his actions either.
Sonic opened his eyes a little when he felt arms wrap around him from behind. He stopped crying a little, and the pain in his head lessened a little. Shadow rested his head on Sonic's shoulder, moving a little so he could nuzzle the other hedgehog's cheek. Sonic managed to smile a little, and he felt his tears fading.
"You don't really need to be worrying, Sonic, just trust me."
"I feel like I need to..."
"You don't. I'm fine." Sonic pulled himself away from Shadow for a second, and he turned around to face the other hedgehog. Sonic pulled back forward and pressed his lips lightly to Shadow's, wrapping his arms tightly over the black hedgehog's shoulders. Shadow in return wrapped his arms over Sonic and pulled him closer. He chuckled lightly when he pulled away.
"I guess I have to believe you on that one," Sonic smiled.
"It's good that you do, you know I believe in you," The pain in Sonic's stomach lightened because of this, and it made him blush brightly.
"I believe in you as well," Sonic hugged the other hedgehog tightly, and didn't even dare move. He wanted to stay in this position for what seemed like forever. I never want to move, even if I'm forced. Please let me stay here.
