"Your eyes are sad." Shadow tells me as we walk through the cobblestone streets.  People are walking around some are dressed like mundanes, which are humans from earth who aren't magical, and some are dressed like the dragon riders back home.

"I lost my best friend a week or so ago.  She died trying to lead a resistance effort to free the kingdom from my tyrant ex-fiance."  I tell Shadow who steals an impressed glance at me.  "She was burned at the stake which is ironic considering my home was supposed to be more accepting of our kind."

"Was she a witch?" Shadow asks and I nod.  "You can see her again, Moondancer."

"Can you please just call me Allura?  I can't get used to my dragon name." He laughs and I push him playfully.  "My fiance was a witch also but he was from a darker ancestral line."  Something catches my eye and I finally realize there are no children here.  Shadow and I are the youngest people here and everyone keeps looking at us.

"Come this way." Shadow drapes his arm around my shoulders and he leads me down a side alley.  A few small dragons follow us like small children but my heart stops when the street ends and we are in a large garden.

Dragons of every shape, color, and size are playing in the garden.  The voices hit me at once and I start to become dizzy but it's worth it when I start to hear each individual voice.  A familiar dragon approaches me and I feel tears slip down my face when I see Onyx Warrior.

"I'm so sorry." I say as tears fall down my face.  I run to the dragon and he moves his head so he's comforting me.  "I should have listened to him.  Melanie.....now my father......I'm so sorry."  I sob and Onyx warrior softly consuls me.

Son, who is this rider?  The dragon that appeared before me was like none other.  Her scales reflected the heavens as stars and galaxies seemed to dance across her smooth scales.  The wings were large and impressive but had a delicate nature to them as if in one moment they could destroy anything and the next bring life to this world.  Her eyes were that of the purest emerald and were kind as she reached a taloned hand out to me.

I put my small hand on her hand and she brings me closer to her.

Child, you have seen much in the name of saving our kind, and for your sacrifice I have no way to repay you.  However, after seeing my prodigal daughter , I have realized that I was mistaken when I thought you must take this path alone.  The dragon smiles at Onyx warrior and Shadow who were watching us.  Take guidance and assistance where they are offered and I promise that the sacrifices you have made are not in vain.

A silent tear slips down my face and her other hand gently lifts up my chin so I'm looking at her again.  I could see my pain reflected in her eyes and I move so I'm leaning against her chest.

Melanie died a hero and I have repaid her debt to you by giving her a constellation in each realm.  Wherever you are, you will always see her shape watching over you even in the darkest of times.

"Thank you." I whisper forgetting for a moment how to speak the dragon tongue.  "Thank yo....."  I couldn't keep my emotions in any longer and the dragon stood there comforting me.

Be brave, Allura.  Your journey is not complete and I have realized that the simple name  Firespeak gave you will not do any longer.  The dragon moved so I was standing in front of her.  One long talon reaches out and touches the place where my heart is.

A feeling washed over my body and I closed my eyes as the magic swirled through my body.  There is no way to describe the exact feeling but it felt like moonlight was cleansing my body of its sorrows and a sense of serenity and clarity replace it.

My eyes slowly open and I feel different.  I glance down at the dress I was now wearing. The majority of the gown was a deep blue almost black color that reflected the night sky.  Sparkles like stardust covered the bodice and then fell down onto the skirt.  I twirled slowly when the dragon motions so she could see her work.

Your new name will be Starcatcher.  Only a select few will know your new name so guard it closely.  The dragon starts shimmering before it disappears and I turn to look at my father's dragon and Shadow.

"You look amazing."  Shadow says as I walk over to the fountain in the middle of the park.  I glance at my hair and I smile at the simple hairstyle.  It was lightly curled but part of it was swept up to the side in a loose bun.  More stardust was sprinkled lightly on my auburn hair.
