Skating

"Fuck!" I scream as I fall on my butt yet another time. Liam is trying to teach me how to skateboard before he actually takes me to surf. I thought it was stupid but went along with the idea for his sake.

"Its not that hard love. Let's just skate to town and then we'll be done yeah?" He tells me.

"Promise?" I ask him.

"Well we're going to surf after but other than that yeah," he says and I roll my eyes at him. He laughs at me and starts going.

"Liam! Can you skate behind me? I want you to be able to watch out for me and see if I fall again," I ask him. He stops and walks over to me.

"Course baby," he says giving me a peck.  I smile and nervously start going again. I think this is the best that I have done all day. I am really getting the hang of this. I start going faster and so does Liam so he can catch up to me. I look back at Liam to see he is smiling.

"Im not so bad now are I?" I ask him.

"I have to admit that you are improving," he states with a smile. We both laugh ar eachother. Suddenly though, his face drops.

"Babe, you need to stop," he tells me.

"Stop what?" I ask him really confused.

"Get off your board now," he says again.

"Why?" I ask. He looks really freaked out.

"Turn around. You need to get off now," he says. I turn around and I see the approaching train coming full speed at the intersection only a block away now.

"Stop!" He yells at me.

"You never taught me how to stop," I state in shock. My board keeps rolling closer and closer to the stop. I just stand there. I am going to die. At least ive had a good life.

"Liam!" I scream out, a little scared. I may of had a good life but I dont want to die. I dont think anyone truly ever does.

"LIAM!" I scream out a little more desperately. I get no response. I keep my eyes open and look at the train before me. I ignore the screams of people. I dont hear them. All I hear is the trains horn. It is literately a foot away from me when I feel an arm hook around my waist.

I find myself face down next to the tracks, covered by a body and being hit by wood and rubber. I close my eyes tightly as my breath starts to quicken. I lie there until the train passes which seems like forever.

Finally though, I close my eyes once it passes. I feel the body on top of me move off and pick me up.

"Babe? Are you alright?" I hear the familiar frantic voice of my boyfriend. I peek my eyes open and see he is in shock. I nod my head and start crying as he pulls me into his chest. I begin sobbing.

"I was so scared Liam," I tell him as he rocks me. A lot if people started to surround us.

"I know baby, I know. I was scared I was going to lose you too," he admits rocking me. I just fist his shirt in my hands and sob into his shirt.

"I didnt know how to stop Liam. I am so sorry," I say causing him to hold me tighter.

I just keep sobbing into him as people ask if im okay. Once a paramedic pulls up, they have to pry me from Liam's arms and put me on the stretcher. Liam gets up and follows me closely. He is holding my hand as they put me into the ambulance.

He gets in with me as they drive me to the hospital. They hook me up to a machine and do the same with Liam. He keeps assuring them that he is fine. Finally, we park and they roll my stretcher into a hospital room. They hook me up and begin to examine my body for injuries. They find wood splinters and rubber burns on both Liam and I. Other than that, they see no real damage except for I may be tramatized. I look at Liam as he walks over to me.

"You saved my life," I state shakily.

"Yeah," is his response as he sits next to me looking off into space like they do in movies.

"Why?" I ask him. He looks over at me.

"Because I love you," he says as he takes my hand. Its the first time hes ever told me that and I dont think that it could have more meaning than it does now. Everyone may say that it has the most meaning to them because they said it in some cheesy ass way but liam saved my life to prove it, then admitted it. Nothing could mean more.

"I love you too," I tell him as he reaches over and kisses me, officially beginning our happily ever after.
