I look out my window on just another normal hot summer day. It's times like these when I wished I was from an 80's movie because it always seemed like there was something to do in those unlike the sad reality of right now. I go and sit down on my couch, opening my wattpad app to read a book and maybe scroll through Instagram a bit to pass the time.

I know that I may be friends with 5 seconds of summer, but I still read fanfiction because what else am I supposed to do with my life? I know I read all of these posts where if you knew them that you would "ride that dick" all day long, but there is so much more to them than that and for that reason I haven't even made a move on any of them. They're just normal lads that like to party. Today they're off doing some weird band thing and didn't want to hang out with me anyway.

It was kind of sad because I'm really starting to like them, especially Calum. He wasn't always my favorite, but meeting him in person really brought out the best of him to me. I know that my feelings for him have gone past the brink of friendship, but there's nothing I can do about it anyways. Besides, I'm fine if we are only friends because it's still a big accomplishment.

So now I'm laying down on my couch catching up on one of my many books. I'm starting to get into one of them a lot when I begin to hear a mower and a soft tune that I recognize from the movie, The Breakfast Club. Umm. What's going on?

I toss my phone aside and walk over to the window again to see Calum riding up on a lawn mower with a little radio on the back. I open the window and smile. He smiles in return once he sees me too.

"What're you doing?" I call out with a giggle. He parks the lawn mower and stands on it so he can be a little bit closer to me.

"Katie, I've gotten to know you quite well lately and I just wanted to say that I really like you, in a more than friend way. I assume that you feel the same way and hope you do too because I spent a lot of time learning how to work this thing today. But anyways, the bottom line is that I would love for you to be my girlfriend," he shouts up and he seems so nervous. It's adorable. I smile at him yet again.

"You're assumptions are right Mr. Hood. And I would love to be your girlfriend," I respond to him and his happiness is contagious, really.

"Would you like a ride to Ashton's house?" He asks me and I nod, closing my window and quickly getting ready. Soon enough, I'm down the stairs and in his arms that I've been longing for. It feels so right. My imagination is nothing compared to the real feelings.

He finally brings his lips to mine, creating that first kiss feeling for us and it's so special. Our lips fit perfectly and the way he hugs my body close is just enough. Finally we pull apart and I hop onto the back. I snuggle into his back as we laugh, driving down the street to Ashton's house as "Don't You" by Simple Minds plays creating that perfect 80's movie scene that I craved.
