My eyes fluttered opened, I squinted as I tried to adjust to the bright sunlight peaking through the open curtains.

I hadn't woken up to this in a very long time, Christian. I looked up at him and watched him sleep peacefully, I watched his chest slowly rise and fall back down and slightly smiled.

He had me wrapped in his arms tightly to his chest, almost felt like he was using me as a shield. I hesitantly rose my hand to his chest just next to his heart, thankfully I hadn't woken him.

It was extremely unusual that Christian hadn't awoken before me, I was always used to his unique eyes meeting mine every morning.

Interrupting my thoughts came a warm hand pushing mine away, I raised from my comfortable position and met his frightened and wide eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't think, I had just woken-", He wiped his eyes and slowly took steps towards me.

"Anastasia. That pain is incomparable to the pain I felt when you left. It's still extremely difficult but I think we may be able to compromise.", I saw his eyes light up, he licked his lips and deepened his stare.

Had I really missed this? Being unable to control my blush or my thoughts? When he was around I couldn't think, he was intoxicating.

"The house is a mess.", I stated, tucking a fallen strand of hair behind my ear.

"Hmm, I know a few ways to make it worse.", I gawped at him, did he just say that?

"Christian, please. You're once again being unfair, I'm with someone.", His eyes turned dark, he tightened his jaw and heavily signed.

"I haven't-", He was interrupted by a loud knock on the door.

I strolled to the door and unlocked it, I wasn't expecting anyone until now.

Shit.

"Hey baby.", I tried to not panic, I was telling myself over and over again to keep calm.

"Hi, I wasn't expecting you.", He tucked his hands into his coat and shook his head.

"I came to say I'm sorry about yesterday evening when I saw you, that wasn't me.", I scoffed and wiped my face.

"Who was it? Fucking Santa Claus.", He chuckled nervously and stared at the ground.

"It's not Christmas yet. I'm trying so hard to change Ana. I don't want to be that person anymore, I want you to want me, to be happy with me. I make you miserable, I get that and I'm very sorry.", I nodded and heavily signed.

"I can't keep giving you chances.", He nodded and unexpectedly placed a soft kiss on my lips.

"One last chance. I'm just going to use your toilet.", He grabbed my hand tightly and before I could say anything to stop him we were already in the house.

Oh my god.

I shut my eyes tightly but heard nothing. I frowned, I quickly walked into the living room waiting to see Christian staring down my boyfriend but I saw no one.

Suddenly, a door opened. I lightly jumped and saw Rory coming towards me, he had an immense smile on his face.

"Thank you.", He kissed me a lot more slower this time, I deepened the kiss and buried my fingers through his hair. I pulled back slowly and rested my head against his.

"Stop apologising. It doesn't suit you.", I patted his chest and sat on the arm of the sofa.

"Hey. I'm a changed man Ana, trust me. I need to go, I'll see you soon.", He kissed my forehead and shut the front door behind him.
