Stumbling, he finally got out of the place he proclaimed as hell- at least that's what he called since forever.

On the first step outside the room, he felt foreign and somewhat unfamiliar; a feeling mixed with anxiety but excitement.

He grinned a little.

He made one step forward, clutching tightly to the walking stick as he tried to get used to the feeling. It's been quite a while since he stepped out of the hospital; inhaling the fresh air of the outside world.

Ah, how I miss this life!

The only time he had used his legs were the times he needed to shower or go to the bathroom; other than that, he nvr used them to go anywhere even outside the door of that closed room.

Slowly he walked out of the place. Even with the blindness and constant stumbling, he somehow managed to get himself out of the hospital field. His feet had barely touched the cold pavement of the streets when suddenly a figure called out to him;

"Yo, Orihara!"

His steps halted immediately upon hearing that deep and gruff voice-

That voice which haunted him in the nightmares he constantly had.

He refused to tell his mind it was real, refused to tell his heart that it was indeed him and refused to believe his other senses for the time being until-

"Ah? You didn't recognize me?"

Izaya's eyes instantly widened upon hearing that voice; that terrifying voice he so hated.

Yet he kept his cool.

"How nice to see you here," the word "Mr." almost rolled off his tongue rather easily, but thank goodness he managed to not let that slip. His memories hadn't returned much and honestly he could not remember the figure's name, but certainly he couldn't let him know that.

And he never turned to look at him in the eye.

"It's been a while hadn't it?"

"I'm sorry," Instantly he replied, gritting his teeth in both anger and fear, continuing, "But I'm in a rush,"

"With a hospital gown? Wow, you're really bold huh,"

He swore he could see the other party grinned menacingly at him, his footsteps closing the distance between them. Tap tap- with every step, Izaya's heart died and his feet sank harder into the ground despite his soul wanting to flee away from the scene.

He could feel himself shivering as the man came closer to him. He didn't know why he was so scared, but he was sure it had to be something very important and outrageous since Orihara Izaya was never afraid of anything; he's a God after all, so why should he be afraid of anything?

But this.

This damned guy who ruined his life; who turned his visions black; who turned his nightmare into reality; who turned him into a more human state than those beloved degrading humans of his. No, he never hated him as Gods should love every humans unconditionally. He loved him, just like anyone else-

Though the love had started to overpower him like a fucking parasyte; eating him back alive for all the sins he made.

"Wonder what happened to you, Mr. Informant,"

A mocking tone was evident in the man's speech as his hand reached out to grab Izaya by the shoulder, before he twisted around and stepped backwards to give themselves a little more space than the current one.

The raven's eyes were a mix of horror, confusion and slight confidence that slowly turned into shock. He couldn't see, no; he had lost his most favoured sense!

The man seemed to notice the sudden change of Izaya's behavior and that empty stare in his crimson irises. And quickly he grinned from ear to ear, actually understanding his situations more than he should be.

"Can you see me, Orihara-san? How many fingers are these?" He then showed three of his long and bony fingers to the informant, but got nothing in return except for the same glare filled with confusions and highly precautioned.

Izaya wanted to run. He couldn't dare living and acting like this in front of his humans, especially this guy. Who knew what he might do to him now that he's so vulnerable and weak (as much as he hated to admit that, he needed an excuse to shoo the guy away) in every way he could think of. His limbs were almost recovered, and so did hislegs, but not his memories and the internal injuries he experienced caused by those drugs and alcohols he took.

Now that he thought of it, he never really solved the riddles of how he started taking those things. Patiently he tried to focus his eyes somewhere in the darkness,

"What the hell do you want?"

A snicker was heard before laughters bubbled up into the air, "To visit an old friend, can't I?"

Liar. You came here to see me suffer; to make sure that I'm really dead, you sick scumbag.

The raven clenched his own fists, wanting to hit him with all the might he had left before the guy continued his dialogue;

"Have you any idea where you are?"

And before Izaya could react, the man had pushed him off the pavements and right in front of an oncoming car. Izaya couldn't see, but all he felt was pain wrecking his body instantly before warm liquids trickled down his fragile body that laid motionlessly on the hard ground.

As he started to drift off, memories came flooded him like ocean waves, reminiscing the forgotten past he no longer minded whether he still had it or not-

"Shi..zuo-"

Was the last words came out of his trembling mouth before footsteps and laughters filled his tired mind, failing him from consciousness.
