Shizuo slowly opened the door, entering the room the raven was in. The air was rather humid and should he say lifeless?

He pushed the thought away before inching closer to the hospital bed he very well knew the raven was in.

There, he saw him sleeping peacefully; his breathing calm and soothe, his eyelids still fluttering shut. There was no hint of smile in the corner of his lips, but the blond could tell he was having a nice sleep, and perhaps a nice dream.

Perhaps his thought about the air was just a mistake; they were, in a hospital, a place where people come and go everyday.

The nurse came running after him, gasping a little as she stopped right behind the tall blond.

"H-Heiwajima-san! Don't disturb him," She gasped out, struggling a little to breathe properly. Her fright towards the tall man had ceased away though as she tried to come closer to him.

She stopped instantly upon seeing the man's face. Shizuo was looking rather happy and calm, just like the real meaning of his own name. He seemed to be oblivious with the woman next to him, focusing his full attention to the sleeping raven before him.

"Heiwajima-san?" She questioned.

Deliberately he snapped his head to the side, looking at the rather petite nurse whom he had had a conversation with just few minutes ago.

"...yeah?"

"Orihara-san needs rest. So it's better if-"

Before she could actually finish her own sentence, Izaya was tossing about in his sleep, yelling something incoherent like "No! No! Don't come near me!!!"

Shizuo, who was already aware of this quickly dropped the plastic bag he was carrying, swiftly shaking the lithe figure into his awakence.

Izaya's eyes shot open, revealing his reality of darkness as he hung onto the strong arms wrapped around him. His body trembling slightly from the nightmare and tremor he just had as the unbearable sting on his chest turned itself into the form of tears, flowing down his pale cheeks.

His breath hitched as he clutched the blond's shirt, crying desperately into his arms.

Right now, he couldn't care less. His pride was long forgotten as the pain in his chest became too much to handle. His mind kept shifting back to the nightmare he no longer wanted to remember-

---

Izaya looked around in the field of flowers.

He knew this place too well; it was in one of his pleasant dreams the other day where he could see.

A grin slowly made its' way to the corner of his lips. He knew that this would be a pleasant dream, compared to those he experienced few days before;

He knew.

That he would once again see the blond who came to visit him the other day; that same blond who had really visited him even in his daily life in the reality.

He was happy, very very happy as he ran about in the field of endless flowers. The dream might be girlish to him but who cares-

It's his dream.

No one else would see this and even if someone did and tried to blackmail him, he'll make their life a living hell like always.

Just like always.

His grin widened as he thought of these, searching around for that man who had brought him to so much misery before but so much happiness now.

He didn't know what was this feeling tugging in his heart-

Could it be love? Perhaps it is, but will there really be such a thing between them?

Just as he was about to process his own thoughts, a husky voice reached his ears;

"Izaya, I'm here,"

He spun around to see mocha orbs staring back at him with a hint of glee and love. His smile was soft and delicate, just like the one carved on his own face. There was no sign of malice or menace in both men's face as their hatred had somehow evaporated into thin air.

Perhaps it wasn't so bad to be drowned in this kind of feeling sometimes.

"Shizu-chan, I've been waiting for you!" Izaya gave him a small smile, one that actually made the blond's heart melt.

And it was sincere. Izaya himself had long forgotten when was the last time he actually smiled that way.

"Really?" Shizuo slowly reached to touch that pale cheek, slowly rubbing his thumb against it in a loving way. "You look good, Izaya,"

"You too, Shizuo," Izaya purred, leaning a little against the palm as he closed his eyes. "I can see, Shizu-chan. It makes me very happy,"

He tried to deny the fact that they're currently in a dream.

"Of course you would,"

Izaya's eyes shot open once again upon hearing the gruff, dark and low tone replying him. The beautiful vision upon him had started to disappear, the hand touching his skin had somehow dissipated into thin air along with the image of that blond monster he so loved.

His smile faltered as another image took over his dream, slowly turning it into a nightmare he so hated.
