Chapter 11: Gentleness

"So what happened to me last night?"

Izaya asked once the conversation ended. He could imagined how Shizuo's eyes went wide upon hearing his words just now, though since there was no reply, he decided to just end the topic there and started a new one instead.

"Last night?" He heard the taller male questioned.

Grumbling slightly, he answered, "Yeah, last night. I passed out, didn't I?"

"Oh, right..." Stupid protozoan. "I called the doctor out and it seemed like you were only experiencing dehydration and hunger. No serious matters. Didn't you have anything yesterday? Even your figure looked thin these days,"

Was he worried? The raven found himself wondering but threw the thoughts far to the back of his mind, "No appetite,"

Was the only answer came out from that sinful lips.

"You expect me to let you do that everyday?"

There was a slight anger in his tone of voice. Izaya only smirked in return.

"Why, are you worried, my guardian angel?"

"Heck yeah, I am! From today onwards, I'll take good care of you,"

"Hmh~ you tell me how to eat without my eyesight,"

"Then I'll feed you everyday,"

The blinded informant was shocked, his mouth hung agape as his eyes went wide. Never in a million years would he let his pride fall off that bad! Orihara Izaya was no baby to be fed. He's a grown-up for God's sake!

"What the hell, Shizu-chan? You're not my mommy and I'm not your baby!"

"Then how else are we going to solve this?!" A vein popped up on the blonde's forehead. Gritting his teeth, he asked again, "Do you hv a better solution?"

"Seriously, Shizu-chan. You don't hv to worry that much about me," He waved his hand dismissively. As if on cue, a loud grumble could be heard coming from his stomach.

Izaya hadn't had anything to eat since yesterday, so of course he was feeling extremely hungry.

He blushed and looked away. He swore he could see Shizuo smiling triumphantly at him, as if asking him to admit defeat from his own words.

"See?" As expected, there was a sense of triumphant in his words. "Do you need me to feed you anything, Izaya-sama?"

"Shut up!" His hand blindly felt for a pillow to hit him, but was soon grasped by a warm hand that didn't belong to him.

"I'll get you something to eat,"

With that, Shizuo walked out of the room to get the nurse, leaving Izaya alone and embarrassed by his own words.

Hands were on his face, face blushed; he sighed deeply in humiliation.

"Say 'Ahh'~"

Shizuo said teasingly to the raven, who returned a pout to him but accepting the porridge nevertheless.

"Ugh, hospital food,"

Izaya pointed his tongue out in disagreement.

"Yeah, there's not much people who can cook here," Agreed the blonde, feeding him another spoonful of porridge.

"Didn't you have work today?" The raven asked.

"It's my day-off,"

"Hmmm I see..." He replied suspiciously but ignoring the statement instantly.

"By the way, Izaya," Shizuo suddenly said.

"Hn?"

"Shinra and Celty are coming to visit you today,"

The raven wiped the slight porridge dirt that was on the corner of his mouth. Somehow the action looked cute to Shizuo, but he dismissed it quickly.

"How did they know about this?"

"I told them about it,"

"Figures," Izaya mumbled in reply. He hated people seeing him so vulnerable and hopeless, but he couldn't possibly blame his guardian angel for telling his best friend, Celty about it.

And perhaps Celty bragged it to Shinra; just the way he hated but predicted it to be.

"They need to know,"

"That I'm blind?"

Sarcasm.

"That you were on drugs and alcohol until you lose your eyesight," Shizuo corrected him.

"That I'm blind," Izaya repeated his own words, trying to stir the monster into anger, but failed when the blonde forcefully shoved another spoonful of porridge into his mouth.

"Just shut up and eat, flea,"

I'm sad with the new episodes of Durarara!!x2 Ketsu ;;;;; Those who have watched it must've known what happened to these two beloved babies that we loved very much //cries//
I just hope they could at least share a friendship in the end—
