Robin Hood is the classic good-guy outlaw. He steals from the rich and gives to the poor. But I'd say his story is not so much about the redistribution of wealth as how patriotic Saxon rebels banded together to resist the occupying Norman forces. The Normans were French-speaking Vikings who defeated the English at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and imported an aristocracy to rule the island. They're the reason English has so much French in it to this day. But I digress. Rise and rise again!
