This one has a lot in common with "Sleeping Beauty," but it's different enough that I figure it deserves its own section. (Hey, this stuff's not an exact science!)
A princess is born, and her parents invite all the fairies around but one, who is bad. She gets mad and curses the girl instead of blessing her. Sound familiar? Here's the difference: This princess has to sleep all day and only be up at night. On top of that, she's only at her best when the moon is full and gets weaker as it wanes. But of course, a prince kisses her and breaks the spell, so all's well that ends well.
