Four worn-out old animals set out for Bremen to become musicians. On the way there, they notice some robbers in a house and scare them away. Then the animals figure, "As long as the house is empty..." and settle in for the night. Later, the robbers come back and the animals attack them Home Alone style and scare them off for good. Then I guess they give up on becoming musicians and just live off the stolen goods left by the robbers. They earned them, after all.
