A boy trades his family's cow for some magic beans, which seems pretty stupid until the beans actually grow into a giant plant that reaches up into the clouds. The boy climbs up the beanstalk and finds a giant living up there. So he steals as much loot as he can and then kills the angry giant by chopping down the beanstalk while the giant's climbing down after him. Now the boy is rich, but he has to live with what he's done.
