This is sort of a catch-all for both Greek and Roman mythology. According to the Greeks, all the really important gods lived at the top of Mt. Olympus. And the Romans pretty much said, "Yeah, that sounds fine," and went with it.
In the beginning, there was the Heaven (Uranus) and the Earth (Gaea). They had a bunch of kids named the Titans, who killed them off and took over. Then later, their own kids turned on them and killed them off. After that, Zeus and the gang pretty much had a grand old time eating grapes, messing with mortals, and getting into all manner of shenanigans. Too much to cover here.
