Nix's P.o.V.

A year isn't a particularly short amount of time or the longest. Ten years is a long time. A month had gone by. Two. Three. Seven. Ten. You get my point. But two years just felt really short at this point.

The box I used was large. Most of the items were keepsakes I had cherished during my childhood, including old jewelry and little toys I had stuffed in the back of my closet, collecting dust and age. There was a small stack of photos of my mother, father and siblings. It was a broken family in these photos.

Namjoon kept his own box. It was full of his own significant things. My favorite was a mixtape of love songs he wrote for me. He wouldn't let me listen to them.

We were holding those boxes now, along with a shovel. "Happy anniversary." We shared a light kiss and broke the ground of the plot of land my family has on Jeju. We stopped coming years ago. Our capsules were now deep in the ground with the x that marked the spot so that one day, if we ever stopped loving each other, we would be able to come back and fall in love all over again.

Hopefully, that day will never have to come.
