The following day, as a nurse walked outside the hospital building of St. Patrick Medical Center, the hospital where Emma is confined, she saw Rex's corpse. She screamed at what she saw. She instantly called the police to investigate the crime scene. When the police arrived, they searched for clues on who could be the culprit. They found Rex's driver's license on his body. When they saw Rex's name, they searched for his close relatives, thus the informed his parents that he's dead. His parents went to the crime scene on an instant. They cried for the sudden death of their son when they saw his dead body with chalk markings to outline his landing there.
"Sir," Reginald said to the policeman as he held back his tears. "Do you have any clues on who could have murdered my son?"
"Sorry sir, there's none," the policeman said. "We only found that he died because he was stabbed by a knife. We are currently checking the security footage of the hospital to know the last people that saw him alive and then we shall bring justice to your son."
"Thank you," Reginald said to the policeman.
As the police checked the security footage, they searched for the clips where Rex was there. They saw everything that happened last night. They found out that Eloisa and Rose where the last people the Rex have talked to. They instantly searched for them, and just with the right timing, Eloisa and Rose arrived at the hospital to visit Emma and they saw Rex's corpse.
"Oh my God," Eloisa reacted to the corpse she saw. "There's a corpse."
"Hmmm..." Rose wondered. "Why does he look like Emma's fiancé?"
"Eloisa Acosta at Rosanna Aguinaldo, you are under arrest for the murder of Rex dela Rama," the police said to them.
"What," Rose reacted. "We did not kill him!"
The police went through her bag and they found a knife covered with blood in her bag.
"Well, how do you explain this," the policeman asked as he shows the blood-covered knife.
"That is totally explainable because it's not mine," Rose exclaimed.
The police handcuffed them. They tried their best to fight, but they still handcuffed them.
"Yeah, yeah, tell it to the judge," the policeman said. "Anything you say will be held against you."
The police took them to a holding cell at a police station.
"I can't believe we got arrested for a crime we didn't commit," Eloisa said in her disappointment as she sat on the floor with her arms curled around her knees.
"You said it," Rose said. "Who put that knife on my bag?"
Moments later, the policeman opened the lock of their holding cell.
"You're free to go," the policeman said.
"How," Eloisa asked.
"We lack the evidence to arrest you, plus someone bailed you out," the policeman said as he led the way outside of their holding cell to the front door of their station. There, Eloisa and Rose saw Mateo – the person that bailed them out.
"Mateo," Eloisa exclaimed when he saw Mateo.
"What's up girls," Mateo said as he smiled when he saw them.
"There, you may leave," the policeman crossed. With just those words, the three went out the station and Eloisa and Rose sighed in relief to be free.
"Thanks for bailing us out," Eloisa said.
"That's ok," Mateo said. "Now, what shall we do next?"
