The Final Wish (English Version)

Chapter 11

Eloisa and Rose woke up at a hospital room at St. Patrick's Medical Center. They shared one hospital room and their beds are near each other. It was morning that day.

"Eloisa, Eloisa," Rose said as she tried to wake Eloisa up. "What are we doing here?"

Eloisa got up from her bed to talk to her best friend about the situation.

"I don't know," Eloisa said while trying to remember what happened. "My memory is foggy. I can't remember anything."

While they are talking, the girls overhear the conversation outside the hospital room.

"Sir, the drugs in their systems are unusual," the doctor said as he explained to the one he's talking to. "We are currently studying the side effects of the drug. Right now, they seem to be normal."

"Normal how," the man asked to the doctor.

"Ummm..." the doctor said while trying to choose his words. "Their blood pressure, heart beat and et cetera are normal. It's good that you saw them. Fortunately, we managed to help them before the drug did a lot of damage in their body. They could have died if you had not called for us."

The girls are shocked about what they heard from the doctor. They could not believe that drugs managed to get into their body systems.

"Oh my God," Rose exclaimed. "Drugs! We never used that! How did that ever got to our systems?"

"I don't know," Eloisa answered. "I do not even remember what happened. Let's listen to the conversation first."

And then, Eloisa and Rose listened again to the conversation of their doctor and the man he's talking to.

"Thank God," the man said. "What was the drug that got into their system?"

"It seems that this drug is new," the doctor explained. "While we still do not know what effects it does to the body, we gave the code 'SPMC 45' to it."

"Oh, I see," the man said. "These girls... What were they trying to do? Doctor, I will go see them now."

"Sure, sir," the doctor said. "You may come in."

The man entered their hospital room. It turns out that the man is Professor Diwa. He's the one that saved them.

"Sir," Eloisa said in surprise. "What are you doing here?

"I am here because I saw you faint," Professor Diwa said bluntly.

"Faint," Rose said in shock. "What happened?

Professor Diwa thought that the girls might be pretending to know nothing. He seems to be annoyed with how they are acting to him.

"Do you not really remember or you're just lying because you are talking to me," Professor Diwa asked them. He takes no non-sense that day. Judging from the drug issue, he took the situation seriously.

"Sir, we really do not remember," Eloisa said with her hand stroking her chin as she tries to remember what happened. "Why would we lie to you?"

"Good point," Professor Diwa said. "This is what happened. You came with a lady at a bar. You drank some beer and you fainted. Then, I called an ambulance. And now, this morning, the doctor said that some kind of drug got into your systems. I am the one who is confused here! What were you doing at a bar?"

He is a really cool professor. Twenty eight year old at age and he's still a bachelor. He cares so much about the well-being of each of his students to the point that he can act like an older brother towards them when it is needed. The age gap between his students is not the big. The girls are twenty and he is twenty eight.
