"Eyes up guardian." I heard a voice tell me. "What?" I replied glancing to get my bearings. I looked down at my body; I woke up....where? The place was surrounded by snow and ice. Rusted cars all around me as I looked to my left to see a wall that seemed to stretch on for miles, just as broken down as the cars. Street lamps that looked like they had existed for nearly a thousand years.

"There are some things that you may not understand."

"I don't get it," I struggled to put into words. "Where am I? Who are you?"

"I'll explain more later." He was a small geometric form floating with a bright blue photoreceptor. "I am a ghost, your ghost."

"But, aren't I alive? Aren't ghosts the things that people's souls turn into when they die?"

"Okay, you're thinking of the wrong kind of ghost here." He swiftly explained as a roar erupted in the distance. "Listen we need to get moving so please try to speed this up."

"So, Ghost, that's how you want me to refer to you right?"

"Yeah yeah, that sounds good." He spoke swiftly. I then began to shiver in the cold. "Cold?"

I just nodded in reply nodded in reply.

"Yeah, you could use some clothes, even though you are a robot."

"Robot?" I asked looking down at my metallic body. I suppose he's right, my skin seemed to glint in the light of the setting sun, the metal itself appeared to be unaffected by the rust that plagued the area. Why? Everything around me is desolate and broken, yet for some reason, I'm perfectly functional?

"Well, technically, you are an Exo."

"An Exo?" I thought to myself. "What's an Exo?" I thought, or more importantly how is it different than a robot? He projected a large beam of blue light onto my person covering my body in armor; it seemed almost magical.

"You are a warlock, a warrior-scholar of the Traveler." He told me as a set of robes covered my body, they were gray, dull, and felt like they protected very little. But at the same time, it made me feel a lot safer. Yet his phrasing seemed weird, he was speaking this as if it was something that I already knew.

"What the hell is the Traveler?" I asked my tone seemed to subtly increase. "Warrior-scholar? Warlock?"

"Look, I know you have a lot of questions, and I assure you I will answer them but-" A few seconds after he spoke his sentence the same roar that we heard a few minutes ago seemed to be closer. I sprang to my feet and my head jolted to the left and I could faintly see a red speck in the distance. Then one became two, then two became five. Or is one of them bigger? My head started to pound and I could hear the faint sound of a fan in my chest.

"What was that?" I asked frantically.

"It's the Fallen! We need to leave, now!" Ghost barked at me, he seemed to be afraid. Whatever these things were, a magical machine that can bring back the dead was afraid of them. I assume that I should be afraid of them too.

"Who are they?"

"People who want you dead, now run!"

I glared into the distance and saw what I think was the Fallen. There were large creatures, covered in smooth tan and white metal plates with red accents. From what my eyes could see before I started running, they had four arms...and guns. I broke into a full sprint. Quickly we ran up a stairway and into a corridor and through that into another, the scenery seemed to all blend into one shade of rust; until we approached a vast dark chasm.

"The Fallen thrive in the dark, let me see if I can find a power source." He said floating away to places unknown. "Stay low, and stay quiet."

I was scared to be sure, fully on guard, I didn't know what these things were or why they wanted me dead, but I was afraid. Soon a being walked up to me from behind with a gun pointed at my back, I swiftly turned around and a force projected from my hand pushing him back. The being drew a dagger with an electric field surrounding it. He swung it with one arm at me knocking me on my back, feeling the static from the knife and the creature then leaped on me. I got a closer look at his face, it was an ugly beast. It had four eyes, razor sharp teeth, and smelt rancid, like a rotten egg and fish mixed into one awful concoction. I hit him with the same force again projecting him back, and he fell limp a few feet away from me. With my breath accelerating, I glanced down at my hand, seeing a gentle purple glow on the tips of my fingers. The beast's eyes fell dark...I think it's dead. I hope it's dead.
