"Alright, so what now?" Ghost asked.

"We should first check on the others, tell them what we're doing. How many Earth days has it been since we first left for Venus?"

"It's been about six hours."

"Only six hours?"

"Yeah, time doesn't change when we use the jumpdrive. Only our distance does."

"Ok, so we need to find out where they went."

"You do know that they have comms channels right?"

"Oh right! I nearly forgot."

I looked over to the small dial pad to my right and started tapping through the recorded comms lists, and I found Camerons.

"Hello?"

"James? Is that you?"

"Yeah Cameron, are you doing alright?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. My head hurts a little bit, but other than that I'm OK. I was talking a little bit with Ikora about our mission a little while ago. Where have you been?"

"I was out; I was told by someone to head to Venus after our moon mission. She asked me to got to meet the awoken about the Black Garden. I'm on my way back to hook up with you three so that we can complete our mission."

"Our mission?"

"There's a darkness that is rising in the Black Garden, and to get there we need the eye of a vex gatelord."

"A gatelord!?"

"Yeah, is that bad?"

"Well, the last time I heard of a fireteam going after a gatelord, one of them got torn in half."

That made me cringe, the thought of a person being split in half is just horrible. All of their insides just spilling out over the battlefield. "Were those reports confirmed?"

"The other two out of the three told the vanguard as it happened, the comms transcript is in the library."

I was curious. How powerful, or more likely, how big is it? It would have to be large enough to grip a guardian in either one or two hands and produce enough force to tear them clean in half. Our ship flew out of the jump tunnel as we approached the familiar blue ball floating out in space. I had no real understanding of what we had to do, but as far as I know, the darkness is evil, and the light is what I need to defend. The area around the ship turned into a fiery orange, and the black star filled space changed to the blue that blanketed the atmosphere.

"I'll park the ship; you go get the others prepped for the mission," Captain ordered.

"Alright, thank you," I stated.

He then transmatted me down to the tower plaza to the other three waiting over at the postmaster.

"Hey, guys!" I yelled waving them over.

They all looked in my direction and ran over to me.

"So, we need to get to the Black Garden, why again?" Cameron asked.

"Okay, so I met a woman from the future named Cassandra. She told me that in the future she'd come from the world was destroyed by a darkness. That darkness, from the other information she had given me, is inside of the Black Garden." Aaron and Sidriks looked at me oddly, with their heads slightly tilted.

"Did you hit your head or something when you went to Venus?" Aaron asked sarcastically.

"No."
