"James." I heard a voice call. "James." It said again. My vision started to become more apparent, and I made out a face. It was Cameron.
"James are you alright?"
"Yeah I'm fine, how about you?"
"I'm okay, but what happened to you? You practically lost your mind when I hit the wall. What the hell was that? Your eyes turned purple; then you fired that beam out of your hands."
"I don't know, that thing hurt my friends, I just lost my cool and let loose."
Cameron looked at me oddly, as if she knew I was lying to her. I couldn't let her know how I really felt, no matter how much it was killing me to say it. I know exactly what happened, I lost my mind because I love her. When the gatelord hurt her and Sidriks, I felt a greater anger than I ever felt before. I released the power in my void energy out in a blast rather than a standard bomb. I desired his destruction above everything. The blast used so much energy it knocked me out. It was as if I thought I would lose her forever.
"Well, whatever you did it was, impressive to say the least," Sidriks stated moving over to get me off the ground.
"Not nearly as impressive as that scream," Aaron said holding a purple engram in his hand. "I think you cracked a part of my helmet it was so loud."
Cameron looked at him slightly annoyed.
"What? We were all thinking it."
"So, we have the eye of the gatelord. Where do we go from here?" She asked.
"To the reef. The Queen told me to return once we had the eye."
"I've only heard of Queen Mara in rumors and legend."
"Wait, so she is real?!" Aaron exclaimed.
"No. I just said that I heard of her only in legends, not that I met her."
"Still, that's more evidence than I had before. Why didn't you mention that?"
"It wasn't relevant or important at the time."
"Fair enough."
"So, there is some claim that this Queen you mentioned may exist. So are we going to this Queen together?"
I thought about it for a moment. They didn't exactly react well when I first arrived there. They know what my ship looks like. Oh, wait. Right. I need a new one. So now we need to head back to the Tower so I can get a new ship.
"Well, I can't exactly go anywhere without my ship," I said crossing my arms in frustration.
"You could always go there in my ship." Cameron offered.
"Ooooh." Ghost said to me.
"Shut up." I thought to him.
"That should be okay. They did send me a clearance code however a radio heads up would be a wise decision."
Sidriks looked over to me with an approving tone. "That would be in our best interests, especially considering that I would be coming with you."
"Well, believe it or not, she already has a legion of Fallen under her command."
"Really?" They all asked in unison.
" I know I didn't believe it either. Until I was convinced otherwise, by a knife at my throat."
"Who held the knife?" Aaron asked.
"It was the Queens brother, Prince Uldren."
"So where is the realm of the awoken anyway?"
