"Incoming what?!" I exclaimed.

"I don't know, but whatever it is, it's very fast," Captain stated to me.

"Can you pull up some sort of rear view?!" I asked as the alarm blared grew louder

"Rodger that, rear view coming up on screen now."

I looked at the small square view screens and saw two ships. Both of them were V like in nature having a triple-pronged approach to design, and were purple and yellow in color. One of the under barrels of the ships began to glow a bright blue.

"They've locked weapons!"

"Hold on to your helmets!" I shouted.

I gripped tight onto the controls and pushed the engine as hard as it could go. The rockets then kicked in, and I steered us into the field of debris. One of the ships fired their projectile into one of the colossal vessels ahead of us. The resulting explosion ruptured a hole in the ship.

"Alright, here we go!"

"What are you doing!?" Ghost asked urgently

I then took us into the interior of the vessel hoping that the two ships would be too large to follow. The interior of the vessel kept blurring as we headed down deeper into the wreckage, hoping to avoid the fighters, whoever they are, they aren't friendly.

"Sir, we have a wall approaching fast!"

"Do we have any weapons?!"

"Rocket pods are on standby, sir."

A large red button then appeared on the right control stick. Upon pressing the button, a volley of rockets fired out of the right and the left of the wings on the ship. The wall ahead of us ruptured open, and we flew out the other side. Then in the rearview screens, I spotted the two ships again. I looked to my right and saw the comms signal button activate.

"I can't identify the transmission."

"Pull it up anyway."

"Attention, you are entering Awoken territory. State your business now or be fired upon by order of the Queen." The voice stated.

I thought about it for a moment. A good portion of my responses would have resulted in us getting destroyed and left to die out in space. All of them, except one.

"My name is James-17, I am a Warlock from the Last City of Earth. I am seeking the council of your Queen." I replied.

The radio went quiet for a moment. The silence was enough to make me sweat slightly; I hoped that my response would be sufficient to get them to take me to her.

"Lock to my trajectory and do not deviate. Any deviation will be taken as an act of aggression." The voice responded.

I exhaled heavily. "Understood."

"Well, they seem friendly." Ghost stated sarcastically.

"I know, right?"

The two ships formed up on the side of my vessel as they guided me through the debris. The more that we flew through it, the more I began to think back to the memory fragment. The same black cloud which assaulted the planet all those years ago did the same thing to these ships out here. Tearing them open like a can opener and feasting on the contents inside. Then as we continued flying to wherever we were going, I glanced over to the left. It was the body of a small child, her eyes wide open from the atrocities she had witnessed at the moment of death. She must have been only eight.

"Poor thing," I stated aloud.

Our vessels then stopped at a blast door, so large in fact that it dwarfed both my ship and those of the Awoken fighters flanking me. The massive door opened for us to head inside, I looked over to my left and to my right to watch the ships. The two head inside and I followed closely behind; the hangar bay was massive. Filled from left to right with large vessels with an insignia on them that looked like a crown. The ships shared a similar color scheme as well, a purple with some strings of yellow. The two flanking vessels had pulled me to an area to land.
