After I recomposed myself, I looked over toward the canyon that would lead me to the outpost. I started to think out loud. "So...there's a new house of Fallen on the moon? You mentioned there only being records of them on the Earth and Venus..so who are these guys?"
"I'm not too sure." Ghost replied. "The colors also don't match any of the known houses either...so who are they?"
"I'm not sure...but it would be a good idea to make a report and send it over to the Vanguard, wouldn't it?
"Alright, uploading report. Also while I was accessing the system I restored the orbital link system. You can grab your sparrow now."
"Alright, let's go!" I said as the gray angular craft materialized underneath my feet. The vehicle roared to life underneath my feet, the force of the thrust letting my robes flow through with no wind in the atmosphere. As we drove toward the base another thought started to cross my mind. "Hey, Ghost?"
"Yeah?"
"If the Traveler could terraform planets, then why did I see a person wearing a space suit?"
"Truth be told, only the Speaker knows. However, I think it might have something to do with the moon not having an atmosphere, to begin with."Ghost replied. I kept looking forward but the scenery, aside from the massive crack in the planet, is all just a white blur. How am I at all supposed to know where I'm going?
"The base is a few minutes away." Finally the small building came in to our view. So much for it being a colony base..this thing looks like it could hardly house a family of four! It was so high up compared to the ground and there was tearing all along the walls.
"A colony base?" I said sarcastically.
"Well, our records don't say what it was specifically for; it could have been mining operations for all we know." I hopped off of my sparrow and started climbing a hill nearby to get a better scope of my surroundings.
"I'm definitely leaning more towards the mining operation theory," I said. Using the new rifle I received, I started looking at the bases surrounding the area. "So, the fallen have just set up shop, and already they have a grip on this area," I continued looking over to the larger of the two facilities. There was a significant amount of dregs, a few vandals here and there, and only one captain. The smaller of the two, however, had a servitor around its area, I could tell because of the purple aura that surrounded the dregs.
"I'm detecting a small signature in the base directly ahead." Ghost said.
"What kind?"
"A small light signature, a trace but it may have been from the older guardian."
I hopped onto my sparrow once again and drove to the small mushroom-like base just ahead. The fallen closeby began firing at the sparrow that I was riding on; thankfully my sparrow is much faster than the rounds of their weaponry. After flying through the lunar dust for a few seconds, I leaped off and started walking up the hill to the colony base. Then my radar started to flicker a bright red.
"Somethings inside." Priming my weapon I slowly walked in. There were two dregs were speaking to each other in the window, they were talking in a language I didn't understand. I sneaked behind a control panel out of their view. I walked up to the two of them putting my weapon on my back, then smacked their heads together. With a crunch the two fell to the floor, unconscious but alive. I looked around to see if I had been seen by any of the other fallen in the area.....nope, I'm unseen and unheard.
"Now let's see what we can find." Ghost said starting to scan around the room. "I found something; it's a small notebook." I kept my eyes focused on the fallen in the section of the base below with my weapon clutched in my hands.
