As we started to enter the strange cavern, it grew increasingly dark. "Hey, Ghost, you might want to slip away for a bit." I told him. Ghost didn't say anything before he slipped away back inside me. I grabbed a small grenade from my hand and pressed the detonation switch. The device exploded in my palm and emanated a soft orange glow like a torch. I grunted, the object burned my palm. Cameron looked over my shoulder, her ghost floating next to her shoulder. I could practically feel the eye roll from underneath her helmet.

"Well, what did you expect would happen Rook, that's a grenade in your hand?" Cameron asked staring at the light in my hand before starting to walk forward again. We kept moving onward until we reached the area which I jumped in to save my friends an hour ago. I then glanced down into the hole which I jumped into feeling the abyss stare back. It was like it was pulling at me, magnetizing me to jump down to it. "Rookie!" Cameron yelled as she wrapped and arm around me pulling me back up onto the platform. "You need to be careful, you almost fell down there." She told me sounding slightly concerned.

I got my bearings and looked over to her, "Thanks." I then put my hand cannon around my waist and pulled out the paragon. Before she started moving again her helmet tilted over to the weapon that I held in my hand.

"What's that? I've never seen a gun like it before." She asked as we continued walking.

"It's a long story," I said dismissively.

"Oh come on, it's not like we have to not talk on this mission. The hive already know that we're here." I pondered her statement for a moment. I suppose she was right; this wasn't a stealth mission. She's my teammate after all. If she wants an answer I guess I should give her one.

"Ok, you remember how a few days ago I told you about the dream I had?" I asked hoping that she would remember.

"Yeah, it was philosophical, about who you think were your parents?" She asked.

"That's about right," I replied deactivating the safety of the Paragon upon heading into a large circular room filled with enemies of every variety. Acolytes roared and started attacking with shredders, and several thralls running up over to us with their claws outstretched practically tripping over each other to get to us.. "So what we're you going on about again?!" She shouted picking up a thrall and slamming it into the floor with her hand grasped around the gray frame's head.

"I was going to say!" I exclaimed hesitating between portions of my sentence to fire into one of the acolytes. "That I had a dream again, but I later figured out." I fired again into the crowd bursting a head off of a thrall "That the dreams weren't dreams like I thought!" A thrall then came in hoping to bite off a section of my arm. It chomped it's jaws on my elbow. I grunted in pain before throwing it over the cliff leading into the dark center of the hellmouth.

Sidriks moved up beside me, firing his wire rifle at the enemies to my left. We began moving into the chamber that we cleared. "What were you saying?" The two asked.

"The dreams were in fact memories like you said," I told my friends. "And with that in mind I retraced the memory, and I found this," I said glancing down at the weapon that I had in my hands. I couldn't tell how shocked the others actually were based on facial expressions.

"Do you even understand the gravity of what you found?!" She exclaimed. "That is a piece of golden age technology that you hold in your hand, and it still functions after all these years!" She shouted like an excited scientist.

"I didn't know that you were into that sort of thing," I stated as we kept walking through the hive fortress in the direction of the hud marker.

"Well, it's not something that I usually talk about with other Titans." She said walking ahead of me. "Weapons tech is always interesting."
