I rolled over, my shoulders warm from the sun shinning through the large window and I stretched my arms out. My curious hands landed on the soft sheets, in a space that was so heated I knew it was the lingering remnants of him. Drawing a deep breath, I opened my eyes and I was engulfed in him; that sweet musky scent that was so distinctly him filled my body, my lower half wrapped in his royal purple that adorned the comforter and on what had been his pillow for the night was now a folded piece of notebook paper. Gingerly I grasped the paper and read the nearly flawless cursive:

Sorry I'm gone...
Business things to take care of.
See you later today.
Love ~ PRN

The number of silly notes I've received from him over the years was incredible, but this simple noted was different. Laying there, my thumb tracing the dark lines he'd left on that paper, I felt like a teenager again; my body surged with anticipation and anxiety and desire. Closing my eyes I let the memory of his lips and his touch wash over me. His touch had been so tender, but still showed a hint of the passion he was trying to contain. Soft lips creating an erotic rhythm as our hearts start to speed up. His tongue exploring my mouth and the softest moan that came from his throat. I let his note drop from my fingers as my hand traveled down my body, under the blanket then under the waistband of the pants I slept in, until my fingertips landed on that little ball of nerves. Drawing lazy circles I imagined the weight of his body on mine, hands roaming my bare skin, his firm length against my thigh as those lips worked against mine. Slipping a finger into my heat, a moan slipped over my lips.

"I'm so glad I forgot my hat." My hand froze in place and my eyes flew open to find him standing in the doorway clad in black high waisted pants and a yellow button up shirt. Our eyes were locked and his tongue wetted his lips as he made his way to the bed. Pulling the covers back, he bit his lip when he noticed my still frozen hand hidden under the fabric of my grey pants. A whimper tripped over my lips as his hand rested on top of mine, silently directing my fingers to continue. My eyes wander down to the site of his hand before running my eyes up his body, stopping only briefly to take note of his obvious arousal before he landed a quick kiss on my lip. "Promise me..." His voice raspy as his lips hovered just above mine.

"What?" It came out more as a moan than a real word as his hand continued to guide me, before it started to move, wrapping his fingers around my wrist.

"Promise you won't finish." My heart pounded harder as he pulled my hand out and brought it to his lips. "I want to finish this later." Punctuating his words by sliding my fingers into his warm mouth. My breath caught as I felt his tongue licking my digits clean.

"I, I promise." My voice trembling as he brought my hand down and placed it on my stomach. Prince's pink lips met mine one last time , a sweet kiss that tasted of us both.

"Be back soon." He assured me as he walked to the door. I laid there for a few minutes after he left trying to settle the throbbing between my legs, before heading in for a cold shower.

After a rather lengthy shower and spending a few hours working on some articles I needed to get done, I finally headed out into the real world for a coffee date I had scheduled weeks ago. Getting into my car I studied the exterior of Paisley Park and I realized that inside that building really was an entirely different world. As I headed to the coffee shop I tried to put the last twenty four hours out of my mind. I still wasn't sure what this was between Prince and I and I didn't want to draw my friends attention by acting different.

"Alexa!" Jennifer practically tackled me as I stepped through the door of the shop, bringing me into a tight hug. We had been friend since we were kids, but she had moved away a few years ago and now she was back home for good. We hadn't seen each other in so long, but as I had suspected, it only took her about thirty minute before Jennifer got personal.

"So, who are you screwing these day?" I truly loved my crass friend, but today I wish she had not traveled this conversational road.

"I'm not really." I could feel my cheeks turning pink and she gave me a questioning look.

"Ok," her head tilted in question, "but you're seeing someone?"

"Sort of," chewing on my bottom lip as Jennifer waited for more information, "we're getting to know each other."

"Alright." The look on her face told me she knew there was more to it. "Oh, I heard your building is being fumigated, do you need a place to stay?"

"Um..." I nervously twiddled my fingers, trying to think of something to say.

"Oh my god," she laughed, "you're staying with him?" No answer was needed as I gave her a cheeky grin. "What's his name?"

"Roger." My answer came without a second thought and she was obviously not impressed.

"Sounds like an accountant or something." Her nose scrunched up slightly as she thought about that. "Ok, well, tell me about him."

"Nah," shaking my head, "I'm not sure what we have yet, so I'm gonna keep this to myself for now." With that she seemed to get the point and moved to the next topic.

An hour or so later we said our goodbyes. As I drove through the city and back into the suburbs I found myself wondering what it is exactly Prince and I are right now. Lost in thought I walked into Paisley Park and headed straight for the kitchen. Opening the fridge I found the bowl of cherries where i had seen them last night and just as I reached for the bowl, two firm arms slipped around my waist.

"I've been waiting for you." Prince purred before landing a few soft kisses on my neck.
