Chapter 14

PEETA POV

Katniss excuses her self to go get her book she forgot, we all wait for her to come back but she doesn't "where is she?" Annie asks "I'm not sure I'll go check" I say "I'll come too" Johanna says and we walk towards the hall that's when I see her being held by two cheerleaders while Delly is about to hit her. Before I can react I jump and tackle Delly to the ground and Johanna punches the two girls but they already punch Katniss and she lies barely conscious. I jump off Delly and run over to Katniss "shit" I mutter. Johanna grabs the girls and slaps them across their face "piss off you dumb sluts" she yells at them and they run down the hall. "I'll get Annie" Johanna says and runs out.

In about 2 minutes they all come running in "omg Katniss" annie screams and runs over to her "who did this?" She asks me her eyes filling with tears "I'll call 911" Cato says trying to comfort Clove and call. In about 10 minutes the paramedics come and wheel her off to the hospital.

Annie, Glimmer and Johanna ride in Finnick's car and I drive Madge,Cato,Clove and Marvel. When we arrive at the hospital and we see Katniss with a bandage around her head and lying down on top of a hospital bed "Peeta?" She says opening her eyes "hey Kat" I say with tears in my eyes. Everyone comes into the room and gathers around her bed "omg Katniss your alright" Clove, Madge and Annie say at the same time and hug her. "Yeah" she say "how are you feeling miss Everdeen" Dr Aurelius says "my head kinda hurts but can I go home?" She asks "yes but don't do anything rough go home and rest and you should be ok tomorrow" he says and walks out

"So no party" Glimmer says looking up from her phone. This pisses off everyone, especially Marvel

"OF CORSE NO PARTY KATNISS WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS!! THATS ALL YOU EVER CARE ABOUT FRICKEN PARTIES AND YOUR SELF!!!" Marvel yells. Everyone looks at Marvel and then looks at Glimmer "leave" Finnick says "fine" she says and walks out.

Katniss speaks up "I'm sorry" she says and everyone looks at her "why are you sorry?" I ask "I ruined your plans and glimmer left" she says with a guilty look on her face "Katniss it's not your fault and you did us a favour Glimmer only tagged along because she likes Fin's party's" Annie's says "can we still have a pool party?" She asks "of corse we can just tomorrow night instead" Finnick says, she gets off the bed and grabs her bag "I need to call my mum to pick me up so she might be a while I'll see you guys tomorrow" she says and gets out her phone "no I can drive you, I have a spare seat" Finnick says. I feel a bit jealous but at least she's safe "no what about I go in Fin's car and Kat goes in Peeta's" Madge says "ok" Katniss says and puts her phone back "bye see you guys tomorrow" she says to Fin,annie,Madge and Johanna and we go to our car Katniss sits in the back with Clove and Cato sits in the front with me. I look back and see Katniss leaning against Cloves shoulder and Clove stroking her hair, me and Cato smile and arrive at Katniss's house "bye" I say and kiss her quickly on the lips "bye see you tomorrow" she says and I drive away to Cato and Cloves houses.

KATNISS POV

I walk in the door and my mother and Prim wrap me in a hug "Katniss we were so worried" my mother says "what happened to your head" "I bumped into a wall and blacked out" I lie I don't want them worrying about Delly and her friends "o ok I made you a hot chocolate" prim says "ok be down in a minute" I say and change into my pyjamas and head down stairs I cuddle up next to my mother and prim. I let myself feel little and let my mother strokes my hair. I go to bed at 9:15, my mum takes my bandage off and I go to sleep.
