Chapter 16

KATNISS POV


Everyone arrives and Finnick turns the stereo on and the guys jump in the pool. The girls don't want to hop in yet and neither do I, but I just sit on the edge of the pool and put my feet in. I swirl my feet around in the water until Finnick calls me "hey Katniss" I turn around "hi fin-" I don't get to finish because Peeta pulls me into the water.

When I come back up I start laughing like crazy and Finnick and Peeta burst into laughter. "Omg Peeta you scared me" I say he just laughs and picks me up because I can't reach the bottom and kisses me. Finnick and Cato ruin the moment by jumping either side of me and Peeta "CANNON BALL!!" Finnick screams before he splashes water all over us, I look at him and Annie and Peeta start laughing.

Peeta puts me down and I swim to the edge of the pool "come in its nice" I say to the girls "ok" Annie says and test the water with her foot, while she is testing it Finnick picks her up and jumps in with her. They swim around for a while and then Annie joins me and even Madge jumps in to "hey" she says and sits on the side of the pool with us "having fun?" She asks us "yeah" I reply we are just talking when Fin yells "VOLLEY BALL"

The girls go in the shallow end and the boys go down the deep end, Finnick puts a net up and gets a big inflatable ball i get an idea I get on top of Annie's shoulders and Madge gets on top of Cloves. We keep playing until it gets dark, Finnick disappears for a bit and then we see the pool changing colour "omg his pool changes colour!" I yell "yeah it does" he says appearing from behind the house. The guys order pizza and we eat beside the pool. After we finish our pizza I see the time is 8:45 we grab our towels and change into our pyjamas, all the girls brought their onesies.

Madge:Cow Clove:Monkey Annie:penguin Me:giraffe and Johanna even brought her elephant one

We sit down around Finnick huge tv and the guys pick a movie. Unfortunately they pick a movie about a zombie apocalypse, I freak out and hide my self in Peeta's shirt. He rubs my back and tells me it's not real, when the movies over I see I wasn't the only chicken Annie and Madge hid behind pillows and clove buried herself under her blanket.

Finnick decides that we should play truth or dare, so Annie goes and get a bottle. Of corse Finnick goes first and it lands on Marvel "truth or dare" he says "dare" "put ice in your boxers" Finnick says Marvel goes to the kitchen and comes back shaking, he spins the bottle and it lands on Clove

"t-t-t-truth -o-o-or -d-d-dare" he manages to get out "truth" she says "ummm have you ever done 'it' before and who with" Clove looks horrified "no I haven't" she says and spins the bottle it lands on Annie

"truth or dare" she says "dare" Annie says "run down the street with only your bikini on and knock on Ms Mags door and say have you seen my clothes" Annie face turns red and she goes and changes into her bikini, we watch her as she runs down the street I her bikini and knock on Ms mags and she runs back. When she walks through the door we all burst into laughter. She spins the bottle and it lands on me

"truth or dare" she asks sweetly "dare" I say I get a concerned looks and then annie says "jump in the pool naked for 5 minutes" my jaw drops "are you serious?" I ask her "yep now strip" I give her a death glare and go change. I walk out side, drop my towel and jump in. I immediately feel the temperature drop and my teeth start chattering. Finally the five minutes are up and I grab my towel and run to the bathroom and change back into my pj's and onesie. I give Annie one last look and spin the bottle, it lands on Madge

"truth or dare" I say "dare" "lick Finnick's toilet" I say Madge looks like she's about to pass out. Everyone starts laughing and Madge goes to the bathroom with us following behind her, she licks the toilet and then her to the kitchen and washes her mouth out 15 times. "I hate you" she says as she walks back in "thanks" I say and smile, she spins the bottle and it lands on Peeta

"truth or dare" "dare" he says I know this is going to involve me some how because Madge has an evils look on her face "go into that spare room and make out with Katniss for 7 minutes" she says me and Peeta look at each other and then walk into the room Madge closes the door and starts the timer. Peeta pushes me against the wall and starts kissing me, I kiss him back just as powerfully his tongue brushes against me lips and I let him in we continue kissing until Madge knocks on the door "times up" she says I quickly run over to the mirror and check my hair, it's barely noticeable but Peeta on the other hand, his hair is sticking up everywhere and I try and smooth it out. We walk back into the room and everyone looks at me and Peeta suspiciously. We continue playing until 10:30.

Some of the dares are so random and crazy but that's just us. We finally go to sleep us girls on one side and the guys the other side of the room. I toss and turn but can't get to sleep everyone else falls asleep but I can't, I'm tired but I can't fall asleep, I sit up and start playing with my nails, I don't notice but Peeta comes over and sits next to me "can't sleep" he says "yeah I'm tired but I can't fall asleep" I say "I was waiting for you to fall asleep" this makes me smile but I also feel guilty "Peeta go to sleep I'll fall asleep soon" " want me to sleep with you?" He asks it sounds a it weird but I know her means well "yes please" I say and stretch out the sleeping bag and Peeta hops in with me "thanks" I say and cuddle up to his chest "it's alright" he says and pulls me closer.
