Chapter 17

ANNIE POV


I wake up and look around I see Madge and Clove waking up as well, I look around and see Katniss and Peeta sharing a sleeping bag, Katniss is cuddled up into Peeta's chest and he has his arm over her, I nudge Clove and Madge and they look at them, the guys start waking up and Johanna does as well. Cato and Fin start talking loudly and the me and Clove get annoyed "shhh you'll wake them" Clove hisses they stop for a minute and then start whispering. All the girls 'awww' and even Johanna says it's cute. I begin to see Katniss stir and open her eyes, she looks at Peeta and then closes them again, I check the time 6:15! wow it's kinda early.

Clove walks over to them and we follow. We all think of Katniss as our little sister she doesn't like to think so, but it's true we are all older than her she only got into our year because her birthday was in the cut off, she tries to act older but she comes out with really funny little things. We sit around her in a circle and the guys join us, "when are they gonna wake up?" Finnick moans "I heard them talking at 12 Katniss couldn't sleep and Peeta was worried" Madge says, me and Clove smile.

finally Katniss and Peeta wake up at the same time and both jump awake "what are you guys doing" Katniss says rubbing her eyes "waiting for you and Peeta" Finnick says "what's the time?" Peeta asks "6:20" Cato replies "uhhh"Katniss says and flops back down onto her pillow we all start laughing. I brush the hair off her face and she gets up "why are we up this early" Katniss's asks "I don't know" I reply and we sit down. The guys go of and make breakfast while us girls talk.

"you should of seen it Katniss it was so CUTE" Clove squeals. Katniss smiles and looks down "it was pretty cute you know" Johanna says, We go down stairs and see the guys have made pancakes and waffles, I go and get two pancakes with Peeta and Katniss while everyone else eats waffles "why do people like waffles? They are ugly pancakes" Katniss say Me and Peeta start laughing and Katniss smiles, when we finish eating our breakfast we split up and take showers, Finnick's house is huge and it was 4 showers, me and Clove take turns for the shower, I put on some short shorts and a loose t-shirt and leave my hair out. We all decide to go back to the beach since we had a great time last time. We all quickly put our swimsuits on and put our clothes on over the top.Finnick brings a ball to kick around and the girls bring a basket of food.

We set our stuff down on the sand and lie down Peeta,Finnick,Cato and Marvel start kicking the ball around, Johanna and Katniss join in while me, Clove and Madge watch them make two teams and start playing a game of soccer. It's Johanna, Peeta and Marvel VS Cato, Katniss and Finnick, it's actually really fun to watch because Johanna and Katniss are better then the rest. Katniss runs around with the ball until Peeta comes up and grabs her "Peeta PUT ME DOWN" she squeals he just laughs and turns her around, he kisses her and they stay like that until Finnick kicks the ball into Peeta's head "Oi we are trying to play a game here" he calls out, they break away and Katniss blushes.

Finally they stop playing and Johanna and Katniss come and sit back down. We all eat a sandwich and lie in the sun until Katniss, Peeta and Cato go into the water. I don't know why Cato went because Peeta just lifts Katniss onto his shoulders and carries her until he can't go any deeper. I see them talking and I see Peeta laughing at something Katniss said. She jumps off his back and swims around to his front. He grabs her and pulls her closer to him and kisses her.

I'm not the only one watching Clove is "how cute are they" she says "yeah they are perfect" I say and lye back down, Finnick comes down and lyes down next to me "did you see Peeta and Katniss" He says "yeah they are so cute" I say "remember when we did that" he says. I do remember last year me and fin would sneak down to the beach and go swimming "yeah that was fun" I say "come on let's ruin their special moment" "FIN!" I yell "come on they have had so many special moments it's getting annoying" he says "yeah and we have ruined them all" I say lifting my eyebrow. Finnick thinks for a bit "yeah your right but who cares, we have ruined them all so far why stop now?" "Ok" I say and take off running into the salty water.


KATNISS POV


Me and Peeta just swim around in the water, we talk for a while and then he kisses me, it's gentle and sweet, he pulls me closer and I wrap my arms around his neck, we break away for air and I rest my head on his shoulder. We stay there in each other's arms until something brushes against my leg.

"Peeta.....was that you" I ask him slowly "what-" I feel it again but Peeta does too. He looks at me and I look at him, and I can see fear in my face reflected in his eyes "it can't be a shark or can it?" i ask "I-I don't know" Peeta stutters, I feel it again and jump off Peeta "Swim!!" I yell and start swimming as fast as I can but I only get within arms length of Peeta before Someone pulls me down, I come up gasping for air and screaming "SHARK!!!" Until I see Annie and Finnick pop up laughing their heads off, and Me and Peeta look terrified

"Annie!! You scared the crap out of me!" I yell" "kat it was only me and fin" she says "I know but you scared me" I sigh "I know but you should have seen your face, you looked so scared" she laughs "because I was" I say and look over at Peeta who has just realised just like me. "Awww come on kat" she says and hugs me "ok but don't scare me again" I say and swim over to Peeta "it was a prank" he says and throws me up into the air "I know it scared me though" I say and he puts me down. We swim back, to shore and see everyone laughing at us "awww Kitty kat is afraid of a little fishy" Finnick says wrapping his towel around himself, I look at him and throw the ball at him, it hits him in the head and I start laughing.

I go and lie down on my towel and the girls start talking "did you see her face she looked so scared it was kinda cute but I felt bad" Annie says "yeah but did you see their faces when they came back in they looked traumatised totally worth it" Johanna says "hey guys" I say and sit down next to Madge "hey Kat" Madge says "what you talking about" I ask "just stuff" Annie says "ooooo what kind of stuff" 'I know exactly what kind of stuff' I think to my self "nothing really just clothes" Clove says "really?" I say lifting my eyebrow up "yep boring the hell out of me" Johanna complains

"so had a nice swim" Madge says "well it was great until Fin and Annie ruined it" I say poking Annie, they start laughing "well it was Finnick's idea" she says "why did you agree to that idea? You scared me" I say "I don't know I thought it might be fun" she says and smiles "ugh" I say and Madge and Clove starts laughing "We all saw the kiss Kat" she says, I feel my cheeks heating up and everyone 'awwwwws' "it was really cute" Madge says.

We just start chatting until it gets dark and we go back to fins. While we walk Peeta come up to me "hey" he says "hi" "you should have seen your face you and me looked so scared" he says "I know it's really embarrassing but at least I'm not on my own" and say and he puts his arm around my shoulder, I lean my head on him "I really like your bikini" he says, I smile "yeah I picked it especially for you" I say and look up at him. He laughs and we continue walking home
