Chapter 25

PEETA POV

"I don't care what you think I love Katniss and I love my friends, you don't even fricken know Katniss and Finnick and you already judge them, I don't even know why dad married you because you obviously don't care about him!"

I yell in my mother face, she looks stunned and then her faces flushes to anger, she slaps me and then punches me in the face, I stumble but and scream in pain, my nose is gushing blood and my mother pushes me against the wall, and punches me again, my nose is defiantly broken now, I scream loudly until dad and Ryan run in, Ryan pulls mum off me and dad grabs a box of tissues. "Peeta I'm taking you to the hospital try and keep the blood from dropping and stay calm" he says to me. I nod my head and walk to the car. I get in the back seat and Ryan jumps in next to me "look I'm trying to help you so don't move" he say. "How is he?" Dad asks Rye tilts my head back and touches my nose, I wince and he frowns "it's broken" Ryan replies. I rest my head back down on the seat cushioning and try to keep calm, I feel something in my pocket beep and ask Ryan to check it "it's from Katniss" he says, he holds it so I can see

K: omg Peeta don't get mad but you didn't press end call and I heard everything where are you going and r u alright??!!??!!

Ryan texts back for me

P: going to District 12 hospital you don't have to come

She replies quickly

K: I'll be there in 10 minutes

Ryan smiles and then shows me I try to smile but it hurts to much "she really does love you" he says and smiles, I nod back. We arrive in emergency and I'm rushed off into a room with 2 doctors.

"ok... Peeta is it" "yes it is" my father answers "ok we will do an x-ray but I'm pretty certain your nose is broken" he says, I sit down on the bed and he takes an x-ray, "ok your nose is broken and you'll need surgery but it will be fine in 2-3 days" just then Katniss bursts through the door "Peeta!! Peeta are you ok?" She says frantically "yes but my nose is broken" I say and point, I see tears fill up in her eyes "Peeta you must get ready for surgery" the doctor says "ok can you give me 5 minutes though" "ok 5 minutes and the clocks ticking" I turn to Katniss "hey I'm gonna be alright it's just a broken nose it'll be fine soon" I say know b-but d-doesn't it h-hurt" she says trying control her tears "it hurts a little but I'll get through it" I say she smiles "make sure they make your nose pretty like before" she says and hugs me, we just joke about people's noses until the doctor comes in "Peeta it's time for your operation" he says, Katniss hugs me and walks out.

I lie on a bed, with bright lights shining on my face, I can hear what people are saying but only just, I start losing consciousness and a nurse puts something in my arm that makes everything blurry "ok Peeta just think happy thought and you'll wake up soon" and with that everything goes black.

KATNISS POV

I sit in the waiting room next to Ryan waiting for the news on Peeta, I get anxious by the minute. Finally a doctor comes in "alright the surgery was a success and he'll be able to take the bandage of tomorrow morning" "ok thank you" Felix says, I smile and sit down in the chair next to him "it doesn't look to bad I saw it" he says and smiles. I brush the messy curls off his forehead "how are you feeling" Felix says "alright but it's a bit painful" Peeta replies "when can we take him home?" Felix asks "in about 2 hours" the nurse says. They do some tests and Peeta goes home, I call my mother and she picks me up, when I get home I text Peeta

K: are you coming to school tomorrow? :/

He replies quickly

P: yep and are you still coming over on Friday and Saturday? :)

K: only if you want me to and your mum isn't there :/

P: she won't be :D

K: lol ok See you tomorrow Love K <3
