Chapter 31

ANNIE POV

I see Katniss sit up and look around, I quickly close my eyes and breath a little heavier. She gets out of her sleeping bag and walks out of the room "psst annie did you see that?" Clove asks "yes wait a minute and then we'll follow" I hear her soft careful footsteps walking down the stairs, after about 5 minutes it's silent "come on let's go check" I whisper to Clove, we carefully tip toe out of my room trying not to wake Madge or Jo. We get to the top of the stairs and I see Peeta and Katniss laying out her sleeping bag, "I can't see" Clove whispers and takes a step, unfortunately she must have stepped on the squeakiest floorboard in my house because it make a loud creaking noise "shit-" she mutters quickly and pushes me up against the wall "did you hear something" I hear Katniss whisper to Peeta, I hear the slight pitter patter of her feet as she walks towards us, I breath in and try to stay as quiet and still as possible, we hear her foot steps going further away and I breath out "clove!" I hiss "sorry I was only trying to see" she explains, I look again and see Katniss move the sleeping bag behind the couches and stack up some pillows and blankets, I know hat she gets a little embarrassed about sleeping with Peeta and stuff because she likes to be know as strong and mature but we all love the funny little Katniss that comes out of her.

"Clove we'd better get back, if we make another sound she will leave and we will have ruined their moment" I tell her "awww ok" she whines, we quietly walk back to our sleeping bags and see Jo and Madge are still asleep, thank god. I slide back into my sleeping bag and so does clove "I'm going to set one up and put my ear phone in, it'll wake me up and I'll wake you" "ok sound good good night" she says and rolls over, I quickly fall asleep only to be woken soon by my alarm.

I take my earphones out and wake Clove "come on" I say "what's the time?" She says rubbing her eyes "5:35 i heard Kat say she will put I alarm on for 5:40" "ok so when she walks in shine the light on her and she will have to spill even though we already know" Clove says, I see Madge toss and turn a bit and then open her eyes "why are you up so early?" She moans "shhhhh just wait and you'll see" I whisper to her "should we wake Jo?" Clove asks "it's unfair if we don't but she might kill us" Madge answers, we decide that we will, Madge shakes her and she opens her eyes "WHAT THE-" "shhhhh" we hiss at her "why did you wake me up" she snaps at us "wait and you'll find out" I answer her, Johanna mutters to herself and we hear Katniss's foot step getting nearer and nearer. "Quick behind here" I whisper to them and we gather behind my bed, Katniss walks in and looks around, it's pretty dark but I think she sees my empty sleeping bag, she covers her hand over her mouth, I know this is our chance and I shine the torch on her, she shields her eyes "hey guys why are you up so early" she says innocently "we couldn't ask you the same" Jo says with a huge grin on her face "I-i-I just um went to the um toilet" she stutter nervously "then why did you bring your sleeping bag" Madge asks "ummmm" "spill!" We all order she sighs and agrees "fine but don't judge me" she says "Kat! When have we ever judged you" I exclaim "i know but just don't" she puts her sleeping bag down and comes and joins us over by my bed.

"Ok well I was a bit scared to sleep on my own after watching the movie" aa few of us 'awwww' and she blushes a bit "and I also missed sleeping with Peeta he makes me feel warm and whole and I didn't think I could handle the darkness without him" I feel really bad for her, that movie freaked me out and with all Katniss has been through no wonder she was scared "Kat you don't have to hide anything from us" I say "I know but I didn't want you guys thinking I was a scardey cat" "Kat we were all scared you should have told us, we would have helped you" Clove explains "yeah even I was a little freaked" Jo says, Katniss laughs "really! What happened to the tough strong Jo we all know" she says "shut up it was scary, Brainless" We all laugh a little "Can we go to sleep it's 5:50!" Jo whines "haha ok" I say and get into my sleeping bag.

When I finally wake up I see that Clove and Madge are up Jo and Kat are still sleeping so we talk quietly. Soon Jo wakes up and we wait for Katniss. Suddenly the door bursts open and Finnick jumps in "hey-" "SHHHHHHH" we hiss at him and point to Kat "she's sleeping" I whisper/snap at him "ok anyway was she with Peeta last night?" He asks with a smirk on his face "why?" Jo asks "because we heard him come back in but he won't tell us anything" he whines, I look at Madge and Madge and they frown "no she was with us all night even ask Jo, we were playing truth or dare" Clove says innocently. Finnick lifts his eye brow at us and we smile, he huffs and walks out "damn I thought we had something to tease him about" We all laugh and I see Katniss stir a little and then open her eyes, she sits up and rubs them "what's going on?" She asks "nothing Finnick came in and asked if you and Peeta slept together and we told him that we were all playing Truth or Dare" Madge explains. She looks relieved and we all start talking.

KATNISS POV

We talk for a while and then Peet and Marvel come into our room "we made breakfast" Peeta announces "yay" me and Madge squeal. We all run down stairs and I see everything's set out on plates like in a buffet "wow Peeta did you make all this?" I exclaim and look around "yeah but Cato helped a little" he smiles, I walk to where he has made pancakes and see he has made them in the shape of love hearts "Peeta these are amazing!" I exclaim "I made them especially for you" he says. I can't help but getting teary. I lean up and kiss him, I don't care that everyone is here I love Peeta and that's all that matters. When I break away I see he has a huge smile on his face. I laugh a little and get 2 pancakes, they are really warm and fluffy. I sit next to Annie and Madge "wow these pancakes are great" Madge says "Peeta made them" I say, Madge and annie smile at me and I keep eating my pancake "did he made love heart ones for you?" Annie asks "yeah" I blush and she giggles "they're amazing" Madge says.

Soon Clove joins us with a huge smile on her face "someone's happy" Johanna says, Clove smile only brightens "well, while I was getting a pancake Cato came over, he told me he was sorry again and asked if I would go on a date with him, I said I would give him a second chance but that was it" I'm actually shocked, Clove is such a fight I thought she might have slapped him or rejected him or something, but I guess those two are really good for each other.
