I stay behind, putting my ear on the door of Rose's room and try to listen in on Rose's conversation with somebody inside who I'm guessing to be is a doctor. I can't really understand the muffled sounds beyond the door. Wait.
"When I first met James, my heart felt joy...warm... light...fuzzy... But, after today's events, my heart is filled with darkness... Betrayal... Even rage. And all that was there is now gone. And... Wait. Do you hear that?" Rose's voice trails off.
I stop breathing.
Does she know?
The door suddenly unlocks and Yanks open and what I've been leaning on for the past few minutes is gone with that I fall inside the room and onto the floor.
"Shit!" I say, rubbing my knees.
"Well it's nice of you join us" says the doctor furiously.
