7 : Grey Shirt

Averyn's POV

   I woke up 30 minutes earlier than usual, which gave me about an hour to go back home, took a shower, clean up my house and heading to school. You guys thought I'll wake up with Darren's hand wrapped around my waist? You guys were wrong because right now, he was hugging the pillow we placed between us before.

   I tapped his cheeks few times, to wake him up and inform him that I'm going back home. After few taps and pinching his nose, his eyes open slightly, rubbing his nose."What? Why?" he asked in his coarse voice. "I'm going home now. You want to go to school together later or what?" He scratched his hair, eyes shut off."You ruined my morning by talking about school," he complained. I rolled my eyes,leaving his room after grabbing my backpack and phone.

   His home was in silence because it was still early and I guessed Mrs.Handerson and Danny were sleeping. I made sure I didn't make any noises when leaving the house. While crossing the empty road, I untied my hair from my bun which was quite tangled since I forgot to release my hair from tied last night. I think I need to wash my hair.

   I hurried unlocking my door's house, and running upstairs to take a bath. After spending 10 minutes in the bathroom, I wore a long sleeve grey shirt paired with my black jeans. I dried my damp hair with my towel, not using a hair dryer because my hair turned out looks dry using it. I'm so glad that my dark brown hair that reached till my elbows were easy to handle and will be as smooth as silk once it dried. But told you, my arms were sore everytime I wash,comb and tying my hair. That's the price I needed to pay for having long hair.

   While waiting for my hair to dry up, I walked to the living room and start cleaning the mess and vacuming all parts in the house.Done with it, I made myself a toast and spread peanut butter on it. I drank my orange juice and washed the dishes and start getting ready to go to school because there's only 20 minutes left.

   I reached upstairs into my room,and saw a text from Darren.

Darren: You go to school first.

   By that, I tied my already dry hair in a ponytail, grab my backpack and phone, and walked out from the house after putting on my converse. I made sure I locked the door first before running to the school which is took only 7 minutes.

   "Where's Darren?" Helen asked once she saw me in the hallway."He'll be late," I answered,unlocking my door's locker. "Have you guys done what planned?" I stopped arranging my books in the locker, facing her. A smile plastered on her face. "Have you crossed the line?" His question confused me. "What line?" I asked her back.

   She leaned his left side on Darren's locker, crossing her arms and her eyes looked at me. "You guys never cuddling with each other when having a sleepover and the most extreme kiss is on your forehead, not on cheeks.Gosh, you guys should do more than that to act like a couple, to look from other side of you guys,"she complained. I continued my tasks, ignoring her words. "Or maybe I was wrong?" she added,her eyes on the front hallway.

   I locked my locker's door,following her gaze and saw Darren was walking towards our way. Of course, his locker was next to mine, right? Helen wrapped her hand on my arm, stating something that's obvious.

   "You guys are wearing the same shirt."
