14 : Cuddle For The First Time

Averyn's POV

   "Eraser can erase everything, but it can't erase your name in my heart," Darren chirped before kissing my cheek and took a seat next to me. Helen and Dania gave the "aw" reaction hearing that pickupline. I ate my salad first,crossing my arms on the table,looking at Darren. "Books gave us knowledge, you gave me love," I stated, started to play along with him.

   He gave me a sweet smile before took a forkful of my salad and ate it. "I think my left eye was hurt. Because you always look right," he added. I laughed by it because I didn't have any pickuplines more.

   "Why did Jack meet you?" Helen asked. He scratched his thick black eyebrows, before answering. "The school will held a dance night three weeks before summer. He asked me to do a live performance." I listened to him quietly while eating my salad.Helen and Dania started to talk about what they would wear at that night. I was not bother enough about it because I didn't like being in a dance night that require me to wear a dress and high heels.

   I am always comfortable in my shirts, jeans and converse. I once tried wearing high heels and as the result, I sprained my ankle for two weeks after walking in high heels for 4 minutes. It was like I'm getting phobia with it.

   "Feed me," Darren exclaimed,opening his mouth. I could smell minty breathe from his mouth. I forked my salad, shoving to his mouth and he ate it. "Thank you,sweetie," he smiled. He slipped his arm around my waist, and I decided to ignore it. I continue eating and fed him until my salad finished.

   As we walked out from the cafeteria, Darren whispered to me. "Let's meet up tonight. My house." I turned my face to meet his in a jiffy, and our lips touched.Darren's hand grabbed the side of my head, not letting me to pull away. I could feel his lips turned into a smile. We stared at each other eyes, lips still sealed until we interrupted by Helen.

   He let go of my head, hugging my shoulders and started walking again.

   "Your lips are so good," he said.By that, I elbowed him and he chuckled before kissing my cheek.

  "What's up?" I shrieked as I jumped onto his bed. He closed the door and sat next to me. In meanwhile, he grabbed his guitar and sat back beside me on the bed. "Jake asked me to live perform for the night dance," he stated. My eyes bored into him."You told me," I cleared.

He bit his lower lip, plucking few strings randomly. "He wanted us to do duet." I froze. After waiting for him to laugh -which is not- I sighed." No way." I said, lying myself on the bed. "Come on," he pleaded. "No." I firmly stated. I sat back, facing him. He pouted and gave me puppy eyes. I narrowed my brown eyes, not wanting to lose by his reaction.After a while, he turned his face into normal and put his guitar back. "It's okay," he sighed.

   He raked his fingers through his toussled brown hair, before picking his phone. He ignored me while he texting someone. I guess he was texting Jake. "Fine.vI'm in," I agreed. A smile formed on his face and he quickly hugged me. We both plopped on the bed with him on me.

   He kissed my cheek and lied beside me. Both of us were staring on the ceiling. I thought I should give a try to do something different since this was my senior year. I'm not being proud of myself but people praised my good voice. So, let's give it a shot.

   "I want to cuddle with you," Darren bursted as his hand wrapped around my stomach. I tried to let myself free but his grip tighten. He turned to facing me, burying his face at the side of mine. "We kissed on lips and I touched your waist. We doesn't cuddle yet," he whispered. His breath fanning my face, and he put his face at the crook between my neck and my face. This is the closest skinship we have did. Since it didn't effect me, I let him.Instead, I patted his upper head,ruffling his hair.

   "Goodnight," he wished and pecked my lips,before turning to the same position. In few seconds,he started snoring and I drifted into dreamland too.
