8 : Little Confused

Averyn's POV

   "Did we wear same shirt? Damn,you made my day," Darren chirped once he noticed our grey shirt. I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. "You said I ruined your morning when I woke you up just now," I reminded his words. "Wake him up? Did you sleeping together?" Helen questioned with a grin. "I helped him doing his homeworks last night. At the end,we're having a sleepover," I cleared.

   Darren's arm slipped into my waist, causing Helen to squeal. At the same time, Dania and Harry showed up in the hallway."Wow! What is this?" Harry pointed on our position. "Are you guys started to become a couple?" Dania butted in. My eyes glued on the floor, not wanting to meet anyone's gaze. Gosh, this was awkward. I let Darren's arms on my waist because it didn't affecting me at all.

   "Have you guys kissed? I mean,on lips?" Helen's question made my eyes widen. I glared at her and she chuckled by my reaction."Not yet. I'm afraid I'll do more than that," Darren answered while touching my nose. "Hell no,dude!" I said, elbowing him. He pouted,faking sad of my words. "I can't wait to see the progress. It's gonna be awesome if you guys end up being a real couple!" Helen exclaimed, clapping her hands like a seal.

   "Trust me, we don't have feelings towards each other," I declared. "We'll see after two months," Harry stated. Man, it looked like they were the one that controlling our feelings when I was 100% sure that I looked at Darren as a friend. "We have first class together, right V?" Darren finally spoke. I nodded my head,and his arms that holding my waist hung on my shoulder, his fingers playing with my ponytail.

   We spent few minutes talking about random things, and I noticed Darren didn't talk too much. I saw two blonde girls walked towards us nervously. They stopped in front of me, and all of us stopped talking. "Are you guys now dating?" one of them asked me. I'm about to tell her the real thing but Darren quickly agreed.He rubbed my arms up and down,as showing the sign that we were dating. Both of them walked away from us just like that, and I heard some sobs from them.

   Helen looked at me with a smirk."Guess Darren broke someone's heart and Ave is the winner. "I rolled my eyes, and by that, the bell rings and we quickly made our way to our respective class.I looked at Darren's with narrowed eyes. "Why did you told her that we're dating?"

   "We are, right?"

   "You broke her heart," I stated.

   "My heart broke too," he stated,walking few steps faster than me,leaving me behind.

   I didn't quicken my pace, trying to fathom his words.

   Who broke his heart?

So,what's the meaning behind Darren's words?Some of you guys might guessed it right,but maybe I'll let it hanging on cliff rather than a Darren's POV on the next chapter.
