24 : I Love You

Averyn's POV

   I locked the door and turned around, surprised with Darren's appearance. I eyed his clothes, a blue and white striped shirt paired with black jeans and his black Vans. Guess what? I wore the same clothes as him, but I slipped into my Converse. I gave him a weak smile, not too obvious that I was still hurt from yesterday. "Hi!" I greeted half-heartedly.

   "You look awesome," he praised.I gave him a grin and started walking beside him. We made our way to school awkwardly. I mean,he didn't hung his arm around my shoulder as usual. And both of us shoved our hand in the jeans' pockets. Silence filled the air and I guess you could cut it with knife.

   Darren cleared his throat,and stopped his walk. I did the same too, looking at him with lifted eyebrows. "I'm sorry about yesterday. About me and Jennifer kissed. I'm just helping her with the dare. Who knows what will happen to her later," he cleared."The dare will start with kiss.Then? Maybe her friends will give her a dare to date with you? Will you willingly to accept it?" I asked, my heart throbbed by the image if my words become a reality.

   He grabbed my shoulders,leaning down to met with my eyes.His dark brown hair toussled as he raked it. "I'm sorry for making you jealous. I will not kissing anyone else except you later," he vowed. My heart flattered by his words.

  

   Damn, I really in love with him.

   I nodded my head, giving him an assured look that I forgave him."It's fine. Plus, we just fake dating.You can date with her once our two months ended," I cleared,trying to cover the fact that I was hurt.

  You guys gonna be the typical high school lover. A good girl who felt in love with a bad boy. And I will left with broken shuttered pieces of my heart, watching you loving her. Our friendship will end too, and my love for you will be one-sided.

   I saw hurt in his eyes, before turned into normal looks. He grabbed my face lightly and shocked me with a kiss. I held his arms because my legs turned into jelly. The kiss was soft and sweet,and apologetic almost causing me in tears. Our lips moved in sync and for a moment, I devoured his lips, forgetting about everything.We pulled away to catch our breath. His lips swollen, and I blushed by the fact that the kiss wasn't as usual as we kissed. It's more than a friendship's kiss. It's a kiss of love. Or maybe I'm the only one that feel it.

   He kissed my forehead, and we started walking through the road to our school. He slipped his arm around my waist, and I have to held the urge to rest my head on his chest. It's gonna be obvious that I'm falling in love with him if I did that. We changed some random jokes through the way.And I felt so happy. Until I found Jennifer was standing in front of Darren's locker in the hallway.Good! The best way to ruin my happy lovely moment.

   I tried to walk in slow motion,not wanting to face her. But still, I need to drop my books in the locker. Darren intertwined our fingers as we made our way to the locker. "Hi Darren," Jennifer greeted with a smile. Just Darren? "What's up, Jennifer? They still hurt you after the dare?" Darren asked concernly. I rolled my eyes,scratching my eyebrows as I glared at her between my fingers.

   Hold in Averyn. Don't look to obvious or you'll shame yourself.You set the rule that Darren can fall in love with anyone he wants,so maybe Jennifer was the one. Not you because he may act this whole couple thing because of the plan that will end next month.

   I watched as both of them were talking. Jennifer thanked Darren for his action yesterday that saved her from stripping herself and walked around the nearby park last night. Darren said it was a pleasure, but he also warned that nothing will happen between them just because the kiss. He also stated clearly that we were a couple.

   Damn, you made me falling in love with you more and more.

   I saw Jennifer's eyes glanced at me and she nodded her head before excused herself. I noticed her fist clenched tightly and gave a fake smile towards me while a real sweet smile to Darren. I pouted as she walked away and Darren chuckled by my action.

   "Are you jealous? You look cute," he chirped while pinched my cheeks. I smacked his arm and rolled my eyes. "I'm jealous? Hell no! You can flirt with her as much as you want. I don't care," I exclaimed. He kissed my cheek and muttered 'You're jealous' repeatedly. Feeling annoyed, I pecked his lips to shut him up before unlocking my locker. As I started throwing books in the locker, he back-huged me. "I love you," he whispered, kissing my ear.

   Damn! I hope he really mean it.

I'm sorry for making them fall in love too quickly.And I thought of different way to end their story so I hope I'm not screw up.For anyone that notice they aren't as sweet as before they started the plan,I will try my best to change the atmosphere.For the grammar mistakes,I wish I made some improvement but I just wish :( And I admit this story isn't focus on certain things like painting,school projects and so on because I don't understand yet how America's schools work.This story is kind like a fun work with no stress point,because this is my first book.Thanks to everyone who read and voted for this book,and I'll complete this in around 12++ more chapters.Lots of love by me :)
