4 : Upgrades Of Friendship

Averyn's POV

Walking home from school with Darren alone, I chose to talk about the couple things. "Are you sure about our plan to become couple?" I asked. He put his hand around my shoulder, looking at me with one lifted eyebrows."Yeah. Why?"

"I don't know. It doesn't seems right. We're trying to prove them about our feelings when we can just let they talk until they stop. I don't think it's necessary."

He snickered, closing more gap between us. "Said the person who already saw two months from different perspective once the plan detailed." I elbowed him slightly on his right rib,muttered "Shut up,you!"

"We agreed to give it a try,right? Just follow the flows and see where it will lead us to."

"And, we just trying to discover our feelings towards each other.Not developing. So, no need flirtings. Just act like always. But maybe with a little upgrades." he added. "Said the one who used pickup lines to me," I teased.

His arms lifted from my shoulders, moved to my waist. I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows, stop walking. As close as we are, he would never touch my waist.Even when we're hugging,his arms will envelop the part between my shoulders and elbows.So, this is damn weird. "This is the upgrades. Or you want more than that?" he asked with a smirk,leaning his face closer to mine. I pushed his face with my hands,causing him to chuckle. I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms.

"So, how about we start being couple tomorrow? I can't wait to find out about your feelings towards me. You know? I'm quite handsome, intelligent, hot-" I cut his words by saying goodbye since we're already arrived at my house.He waved me goodbye with annoyance since I ignored him praising himself. He crossed the road and stepped into the house that opposite with mine. Yeah,we're that close.
