Calum's POV

After Raini kissed me I was shocked as the sparks flew everywhere and when she pulled away, I had the stupidest smile on my face. Nothing can change how I feel now! Yay!

As soon as I thought that, my dad came in. Hmph. I thought he left! Well, I stand corrected! That just made that bright smile disappear into a frown. 

"You really don't have to be here David." I said coldly. "Oh come on Calum. I may have walked out but I'm still your dad!" He replied making me roll my eyes. "Ugh. Your really still as crazy as you were when ya walked out David." I retorted. "For God's sake Calum! You really are as stubborn as a frickin' donkey!" He yelled. "Just get out." I said. "Calum. Fine. I'll leave but please hear me out." My dad pleaded. I rolled my eyes then nodded.

"Ok now. That day when the house burnt down and we los-" He began before I stopped him. "Wait. How did, the house catch on fire." I asked unsure if I wanted to know. "Oh. Er- Ok. Well, that night before, I was out at the pub and when I got home, I was drunk off my ass." I rolled my eyes again. "As usual." I said quietly.

"Ugh. Anyway. I wanted to make your mother breakfast. I was frying the bacon and then I dropped a glass and it cut my finger. I went to the bathroom to bandage up my finger. I went back into the kitchen and I found that the curtain was going up in flames and spreading. Keeping in mind that I was having a hangover, I through the bottle of vinegar at the flames thinking it was water because. Er. It didn't have a label. The flames spread and the eruption of flames shocked me and knocked me out. The neighbours saw the smoke and I guess that they pulled me out of the house through the back door. When I woke up, I was in a hospital and my memory was wiped. It slowly grew back but by that time, I had no idea, where you were. So son, I'm sorry. I can leave now. But I just wanted you to know what really happened." He explained. 

I thought for a while before speaking to him. "Dad. Now I know that you didn't want to kill us. But none of this would've happened if you weren't such a dick. I would've still had mom." I said. "Son. I know that you have every right to be angry. But please don't shut me out. I want to make things better if you would let me." He said hopefully. I thought about it and decided that everyone needs a second chance. I simply nodded making my dad's face brighten up as he brought me in for a hug. 

"Thank you son."
