So I had a dream where there was a person who walked about and offered wishes to people who seemed sad.

The person would then always make a wish about making the world more ____, which would transform the world around them. The wish giver announced the name of the world, which was two things-- one that correlated litterally with the wish, and one that correlated more symbolically.

The scenario I remember most was that there was a mother who wished that the world would slow down a bit; and so, as she was at a bank at the time, it transformed the world around her into a field of wheat with a bank right in the middle. The World of Wheat and Leisure.

But there's a catch to these wishes. With each world created, a monster is also created, to correlate with this world. The monsters always look very human, except for a few things, mostly involving color, and have big abilities that correlate with the world. They also tend to be based off of something the person who wished held dear.

Another example is that in the World of Comics and Excitement, a 'superhero' was created who looked just like a comic book hero, and who had the powers of every superhero ever created. He was based off a character that the person who made the wish created out of boredom.

From then on, the main character, a person who was once a monster but is now determined to destroy the other monsters and worlds, recruits the help of the one who made the wish so they can take down the Monster and wish together.

List of worlds and monsters I remember:

The World of Wheat and Leisure:
Creator: A mother
Wish: For the world to slow down
Monster: Wheatlynn the Scaredoll
Monster Powers: Can slow and stop time, can control wheat and wind
Monster was based off: The mother's deceased daughter
World Description:
The center of this land is where the wisher made their wish. In this case it is a financial bank, surrounded by fields of wheat. Every few yards are poles where a scarecrow would perch. Wheatlynn sits on these.

The World of Comics and Excitement:
Creator: A bored librarian
Wish: For the world to be more exciting
Monster: SuperSuper, the Cyborg, Half Monster, Reformed Villain, Alien Superhero!
Monster Powers: Every conceivable super power, ability to break fourth wall, only has one fatal weakness
Monster based off: A character the librarian created out of boredom and became attached to.
World Description: The center of the world is a library, where the wisher worked. The library is mostly normal on the inside, but in the outside it is completely comicized, designed to look like a superman or batman-esque city. Scribble villains run along the rooftopd, constantly destroyed by SuperSuper.

The World of Monotone and Villainy:
Creator: An overexcited little boy
Wish: For the world to be more like the cartoons!
Monster: The Dastardly Mister Monotone
Monster Powers: To bend reality, and can do most cartoon gags(pull things out of nowhere, survive most physical damages in a comical way)
Monster Based off: The boy's favorite cartoon character

The World of Lights and Darkness:
Creator: A young and lonely girl
Wish: For the world to be quiet.
Monster: Dawn, the controller of Light and Dark(the main character)
Monster Powers: Can control which lights are on and which are off with her mind. The world is pitch black apart from the lights, so this is actually quite useful.
Monster: The girl's dream girlfriend

--

The World of Thought and Haze
Creator: A narcisstic schoolkid
Wish: For the world to be more intelligent
Monster: Lighthouse, The Faux Guide
Monster Powers: Can teleport, mislead people, and cause hallucinations
Monster Based off: A once loved teacher
