Yu has had enough of your laziness. She kicks you out of your house and sends you to the rural village of Eriville to make something of yourself. You're mad, until you find that Eriville is full of strangeness and mysteries; the perfect place for a detective like you.

HOW TO BEFRIEND VILLAGERS
In Eriville, there is a popular game called Twenty-Q, that villagers play often to get to know each other, or test their friendships. Every day you'll have the option to play this game with one villager of your choice to earn hearts.
Twenty-Q plays in two parts. The first is like this:
Whoever is younger goes first.
They will ask the other player, and then they'll answer it.
This will keep going, until both of you have answered all twenty available questions.
The next time you play with them, you both will then have to ask each other about your answers from last time, to see how much you remember. The more questions you get right, the higher amount of Hearts you'll get. But be careful. You can only play this game with each villager once, as this is the best way to get on good terms with them.
Solving mysteries is another way to befriend them. In town, there is a help board in center town. It will describe mysteries that villagers have found, and where to meet them to know more. If you accept and meet them, then you can solve the mystery for them. However, since mysteries are common in Eriville, you won't get too much affection by solving them. However, this is the most common and sure proof way.
Giving pearls(Marry-able characters only)
Pearls are small, shiny rocks that sit in clams for years, building into something beautiful. In Eriville, the villagers see these precious stones as signs of adoration, that can not be hidden any longer. The first time you give a pearl to any of the marry able characters, they will be very surprised.(Honorable mentions: Ele, Sarri)

The villager that you are closest to will give you a costume to wear in the morning. If you aren't close to anyone, then you won't be able to participate.
Then, you will go about your routine, but every time you talk to someone, you have to figure out who they are. If you figure out correctly, you'll instantly gain a heart's worth of friendship towards them. This is the time to gain friendship fastest.
